An excellent hipster bistro in Mendoza. The prices are fair, the decor is weird, the music eclectic and there were some annoying bugs or mosquitoes on the night we came. We ordered the amazing papardelle which is written about in several other reviews. I liked it and my girlfriend loved it. We got four empanadas which was too many. The tomato and cheese ones weren’t as good as the beef ones and the surprise was actually the “tortilla” which is a cheese and egg dish topped with very sweet cherry tomatoes and it was just delicious. The waitress was a little on the annoying side. Attentive but the food came out slow and it was annoying talking to her or having her pop up at our table with questions while waiting on the food. The people who came here were mostly European couples who reas google reviews. They charge an aggressive optional 10% propina which is not typical in Argentina. I left 9% cause i prefer round numbers and not being forced into tipping in a country where much less is the norm. We would come back and hopefully there will be no pesky mosquitoes biting us and no annoying music and maybe a...
Read moreAfter reading google reviews I came with great expectations. Unfortunately they were not met. We ordered a steak "en punto" and our waiter even confirmed to us that this is medium to medium raw. The steak took a while (which is okay, at least it's fresh), and was well over the point, completely done. They said this was some form od miscommunication. When we complained, they offered a free refill on our wine. When we didn't want it, they also didn't just give us our first glass on the house. Instead, they put the regular bill and even 10% compulsory tip on top. Great. Steak was accompanied by some grilled vegetables which were truly uninspired. Maybe the issue is a lack of customers, so that the food is not as fresh anymore? We were the only guests on a Saturday evening... The place would have a nice ambience if more customers...
