The best beef fillet and overall the best meat I've ever had in Argentina. Excellent quality cut, cut to perfection. Everything else on the menu is also really good (especially the fish), but the meat is on another level. Truly excellent service, as well. Not just professional and yet friendly, but they really do go the extra mile. I ordered a cup of red wine and asked that it not be cold (the Argentinians like red wine served cold, I don't), so they opened a new bottle that wasn't in the fridge for me (at the table). Portions are generous and prices very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality. The restaurant opened in 1981 and probably hasn't changed its menu since. Which is not necessarily a bad thing (it if ain't broke, don't fix it), just don't expect any "modern twist or interpretation", but do enjoy super classic and excellently made food. Highly...

“Overrated and overpriced for the food. I went there for lunch with positive expectations since the place was highly recommended as one of the best for meat in Mendoza. Unfortunately, it was the worst lunch experience I’ve ever had in Argentina. I don’t recommend it to anyone—El Asadito is far better than this place. The waiter pressured us to tip generously despite providing poor service. I ordered Ojo de Bife, which was overly fatty, overcooked, salty, and not tender at all. Mashed potato was terrible. There are definitely much better places to go...

Este Restaurante que ha sido un gran icono de Mendoza no puede "dormirse" en "los laureles" por lo que fue en el pasado. Hoy la competencia es fuerte y si tengo que clasificarlos lo hago con la puntuacion señalada.

1.- El pan previo estaba añejo... no malo..pero añejo (duro y seco). Las sasita de acompañamiento del pan sin gracia. El ojo de bife muy bien en tamaño y presentacion, sin embargo el punto pedido no fue asi... lo pedi exoredamente jugoso e hice incapie en ello... llego a punto pasado... no insisti lo cambiaran porque serian practicamente otros 40 o 45 minutos mas. Las papas fritas a la porvenzal, pasadisimas en aceite y el ajo casi crudo...sencillamente malas.. mal preparadas, en ello pedi me las cambiaran por lo mas rapido que tuvieran y llego un arroz blanco, que si bien fue una opcion de acomopañamiento al ojo de bife... ya la experiencia general del almuerzo cayo en expectativa. La ensaladas mix ojas verdes, si bien estaba correcta, el apio cortado se notaba tenia un par de dias, porque estaba ya oxidado sin el color verde normal del apio... nos ofreció gentilmente el garzon en aliñarla pero me parece hay que guiarlo y/o enseñarle que NO puede ser con el exceso de aceite oliva con el que la aliño.... flotaba la ensalada en aceite de oliva, que ademas en su calidad nunca supimos cual era.

Resumen salvo el saborde la carne, tamaño del trozo (600 grs para compartir) y lugar muy bien presentado...lo demas una mala experiencia, para cerra el ciclo y romanticismo que nos hizo volver a ese Restaurante y esta por ultima vez. Hay hoy propuestas de mejor calidad y...

Food was excellent. Menus in English were available. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere was because our table was the closest to the kitchen. We had never been there before and there were only two other tables taken at that point. They did ask if that table would be ok, but we didn't realize the kitchen was so close as well as the wine refrigerator. Everything else was very satisfactory!

Partiré diciendo que se con exactitud cómo cocinar carne de RES, fui a este restaurant con la esperanza de no quedar defraudado al momento de ordenar un corte que amerita precisión en la parrilla al momento de su cocción, me fui por los cortes más costosos de la carta, entraña y asado de tira, fui muy específico al momento de ordenarlos. Nada de atención de parte de quién los cocino a los amantes de la carne quedará sobreentendido mi comentario, nadie ordena una entraña bien cocina ni menos un asado de tira bien cocido. Ambos llegaron a la mesa en ese término mi esposa me rogó para que no los devolviera porque teníamos demasiada hambre sin embargo yo tuve que devolver el asado porque fue inconcebible. La atención del mesero precaria la mesa llena de platos por doquier y no fue muy receptivo. Le doy 3 ⭐ porque supe que faltaron 2 en cocina. Mencionaré también que el gerente me ignoro cuando lo llame para darle mi crítica constructiva la cual espero que llegue a Él. ESTE RESTAURANT TIENE MUCHO POTENCIAL PERO CON LOS TONELES A LA VUELTA DE LA ESQUINA YO ME PREOCUPARA MÁS POR TENER CONTROL SOBRE CADA DETALLE DE LA OPERACIÓN SI QUIERES SER EL MEJOR TIENES QUE TRABAJAR MEJOR QUE EL MEJOR.

Food was excellent. Menus in English were available. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere was because our table was the closest to the kitchen. We had never been there before and there were only two other tables taken at that point. They did ask if that table would be ok, but we didn't realize the kitchen was so close as well as the wine refrigerator. Everything else was very satisfactory!
