I ordered a vegan pizza, but it seemed to have real cheese on it. Asking the waiter they first said that it was animal cheese and they didn't have vegan cheese.
After a bit of discussion between employees an other waiter came to me and said it was actually vegan.
It still tasted a bit too fat and 'real', but I would assume a vegetarian restaurant would be honest about this and know their stuff. Especially after ordering the vegan dish, emphasising that it should be vegan, and asking after receiving it.
But when asking for the bill, it turned out it was real cheese after all! They didn't have vegan cheese and the vegan pizza was supposed to be without cheese.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Apart from my issue the service is also extremely slow and the ordering, bringing out food, etc doesn't seem...
Read moreWe've enjoyed food from Morfy's four times now, and each time has been incredibly good! Andre is the perfect host - extremely friendly, speaks English (very helpful for those of us still learning!), and always has a smile! I enjoyed the falfal, the burgers are fantastic - plus they put dill pickles on them! Their ham and pineapple pizza was extremely delicious, and their meat lasagna is very flavorful and not a carb-heavy gut bomb. We haven't tried the other vegetarian items yet, but we definitely plan to! Also, remember that the pace of life here is not as fast as the northern hemisphere, so yes, you may wait a little extra time for your food, but it is well-worth the wait! P.S. - the dulce de leche churros were the freshest I've...
