Ok. DELICIOUS ICE CREAM but tonight after 11 days in Bariloche and 10'evenings enjoying sharing the exact same size ice cream in a carton 'vaso grande' cup , we get served 1/3 the amount of ice cream than all the night's before. This review won't make a dent in their revenues nor harm this amazing chocolatier's/ice cream makers sales but seriously... how did extreme portion control change OVERNIGHT. Another employee rectified my concern with indifference but still it was NOT what I just had the night before. In addition, I was reminded that the initial serving in VASO GRANDE is what I was given. I literally had it in my hand and the volume was the size of edible mini cone vaso chico that I first had back on October 11. I just dont get it. We discovered Rapa Nui on oct 11 and today is oct 21. I almost suspect SOMEONE sent the order from the top down to change the way the hand scoop or training is gravely inconsistent. I'm irate over how an ice cream was served. How can that be? I luv ice cream. This rant is just a matter of principle. Beware of how they scoop YOUR fave Rapa nui flavor this spring/ summer season in Bariloche because something is amiss! Everyone should get what they pay for and NOT be invalidated by a helpless poorly trained...
Read moreArguably one of the best ice creams in the whole of Argentina (ask for the sambayón flavor, which is not shown, but it is to die for!) and definitely one of the best and best known brands in choccolate. This is their main location in Bariloche (so big it even has an ice skating ring inside, open year-round). It is very well organized and even if you have to wait for your food, you can do so sitting down comfortably and a buzzer will let you know when your order is ready (there is no table service, but honestly: who cares?). Also, don't overlook the savory treats, especially those made at the moment (so not the sandwiches) like the waffle with avocado, bacon and other goodies, a hit!, and the Mexican quesadilla. Admittedly, Rapanui isn't the first place that comes to mind when you crave a Mexican quesadilla, but it is very good nonetheless. If you eat the savory dishes, though, I think you owe it to yourself to finish your meal with one of their outstanding gelatos or at least a choccolate treat. Highly...
Read moreWe go in on the first day, everyone super friendly, asked us if we wanted to try different ice cream samples (tried about 5 total) spent about 15,000 pesos and got the tiramisu and the 80% chocolate, both delicious. I even told my wife i loved the atmosphere, and really liked that you could try different flavors before actually picking the ones you wanted to eat. We went the day after, super bad attitude from 2 different attendants, 1 asked us for a receipt when we asked to sample an ice cream flavor and immediately skipped us to take care of the next customer, we went and paid for an ice cream so we could give them a receipt and the attendant then said only 1 sample per person, which is ridiculous, how are you even supposed to pick the flavor you like in this way. Overall overpriced, i would have given it 5 stars, but the service from the second time made me drop it to 2 stars. I will not be...
