The "stuffed" chicken had only the barest hint of cheese, onions, etc. and the chicken itself was dry and tough to chew. The gnocchi with red pepper sauce was so uncomfortably tasteless that my girlfriend couldn't take more than two bites; I tried it myself and have never had such thin, flavorless sauce.
We told our server about the gnocchi as politely as possible, and a manager came over to listen as well. Maybe I've been spoiled by service elsewhere and the restaurants I've worked at, but I expected the gnocchi to be taken off the check-- it wasn't.
After this, the server brought the check, reminded me twice that the tip wasn't included (once with a squeeze of my shoulder), and stood four or five feet from the table, in my vision, staring at me as I signed the check and discussed what to do about the tip with my girlfriend. I've never had a server stay by the table while I sign the check/figure out the tip before. I told him how strange that was, told him that I would have left a larger tip for him if he had taken the gnocchi off the check, told him he needed to stop staring at me, left a small tip, and left...
Read moreWalked in and seated ourselves. It was around 2.30pm for lunch so not many people were dining in. We were never provided a menu nor did our table have the qr code and after 5 min of waiting we ended up grabbing a qr code from an empty table. 7 mins after, we still had no server so i waved at someone so we could actually order. They told us to wait for the girl. 2 mins after she comes and doesnt say sorry nor introduces herself. We ordered the fugazzeta rellena and the breaded squid. Squid was good but the fugazzeta was not worth it at all. It was served horribly almost thrown at our plates and the onion was not even cooked on the top, so raw it was unedible. The dough was also like the pascualina dough and had 0 taste. Lastly but not least it took forever to get our check to the table. Worst service experience so far in iguazu, and to top it all off, one of the owners/accountants was there telling the servers what to do but we were completely neglected from her view and attention. A table that got there way after us, ended up getting their food, service and check...
Read moreCompared to A Piacere where I had dinner the previous day this restaurant very disappointing. I felt very unwelcome in this place. The hostess just pointed to the restaurant door without interest and a very unfriendly big bald dude opened the door without a greeting. We were seated a table for two and decided to move as the table was in line of the door and it was cold. The bald guy then looked upset and said something to the waitress. I gathered that we had moved to a four seater and we were then moved to another 2 seater. I understood that the restaurant could get busy but then took note of two other 4 seater tables where only two people were seated, these people were not as brown as me. On my way out neither the bald dude nor the hostess said goodbye or thank you. I found this place a bit racist. My waiter was friendly though and this helped me get through...
