La Misionerita — Restaurant in Puerto Iguazú

What a pleasant surprise! We entered just before 7pm and there was no one else. The senor server who attended to us quickly sat us down and took our orders of empanadas. We saw that he’s alone and was making our orders from scratch. The empanadas came out piping hot and were the most delicious that we’ve had in Argentina so far - probably because we are more used to thinner crust ones, and these were spiced adequately. We ordered 5 more to take away afterwards. The price was 2100 pesos each at the time of this review (2 October 2025). The senor is also a very nice and lovely man who was very gracious to allow us to cancel an order (we did not know that Sopa paraguaya was not a soup)! Will support again if we return...

Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The only thing I enjoyed was the music. The place has a strange smell, though the atmosphere is good and cozy. The complimentary bread served at the beginning was nothing special; I've eaten at many restaurants where they serve complimentary bread, and this bread had absolutely no flavor.

As for the main courses, they were not tasty at all. I ordered the ñoquis with pancetta, and my friend ordered a milanesa. The flavors were not good, and I can't find anything positive to say...

COMIDA: Comimos empanadas hoy 7/3/22, no son roticeras, son tamaño normal, así que no esperen que 3 o 2 empanadas sean llenadoras si son de buen comer. Al margen de eso son ricas, tampoco algo del otro mundo, pero ricas y creo que $1.140 la docena es barato a comparación de otros lugares.

ATENCIÓN: abren a las 12 del mediodía, nosotros los sorprendimos cuando estaban preparando todo. Buena atención de uno de los mozos, pero hay uno que nos dijo que no trabajan con delivery cuando veíamos que las motos iban y venían con pedido (3 motos), y otro mozo nos dijo que si hacen delivery e incluso nos dio el whatsapp, a la noche mandamos mensaje para pedir delivery y nos contestan de que No trabajan con delivery 🙄 y este muchacho... el que nos dijo que hacen entrega a domicilio la verdad no sé si es porque hacía calor o que, pero no tenía muchas ganas de atender.

Sin embargo, para los precios que maneja y teniendo en cuenta que uno está de vacaciones son cosas que se pueden obviar y volver.
