Peña Aruma en Salta — Restaurant in Salta

While exploring the area alone, someone suggested I find a place to grab a drink. As I walked past a restaurant, a friendly staff member stopped me and invited me in, mentioning there would be live music and that they would be performing later as well. Their warmth caught me off guard, and I decided to give it a chance.

I only ordered a lemonade, which was huge—I couldn’t even finish it. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that. When I arrived around 9 PM, the place was nearly empty, but by 10, it had filled up with a good crowd. The singer was incredibly friendly, engaging with the audience from the stage, which made the experience more enjoyable. The young dancers were also very welcoming and kind.

To be honest, if that staff member hadn’t stopped me, I probably wouldn’t have gone inside. There are several other restaurants and bars just steps away that appear to be in much better condition. Fuimos a cenar en familia, lo que nos atrajo para entrar fue que nos publicitaron en la vereda que: habia patio para niños y no se cobraba derecho de espectáculo. Nos tocó una noche de llovizna constante, por ende el patio de juegos para niños que nos ofrecieron NO estaba disponible (pensamos que, al ofrecerlo, era techado pero NO).

El lugar debería estar mejor presentado, porque es PRECARIO. Se puede decir ZAFABLE pero siendo atrayente turístico me dió algo de vergüenza que alguien caiga a un lugar que le falta amor en su presentación.

Los baños con perdida de agua, el piso con charcos, un jabón en barra para lavarse las manos (?), y no había con qué secarse. Todos estos detalles los recalco porque hablamos de un lugar privado que además es atrayente turístico y no es barato.

No es climatizado.

Los precios son elevados pero bueno es una zona turística. El problema está en lo que te dan por ese precio!. $200 por persona en concepto de CUBIERTOS, ALGO NORMAL EN LOS RESTAURANTES pero en ninguno me dieron platos rotos en la orilla como en este lugar. Sin mencionar que todos eran diferentes diseño😂, o sea cero detalles el dueño. El salero, aceitero y vinagrero son un frasco de café con un agujero hecho grotesco en la tapa, medio sucios. Pésimo. Pedimos fideos con salsa. La salsa era un puré de tomate comprado básicamente. Sin carne ni nada. Los fideos de paquete, no eran caseros. No tenían sal. Estaba comible pero cualquiera cocina mejor que eso. También pedimos milanesa con papas fritas y huevo, eso estaba mas rico pero nada para destacar. Señor o señora chef, por favor pongale amor y sabor!

El escenario es precario y el salón de baile bastante pequeño pero el espectáculo estuvo hermoso y eso fue lo que hizo que disfrutáramos la noche.

Los mozos predispuestos, buena atención.

En fin... No volveríamos a este lugar. Tampoco lo recomiendo. Espero...

Just believe the reviews. They are only interested in luring people in to their "restaurant". Once you sit down they ignore you We ordered a bottle of wine, which they brought, but they didn't open it... We nearly had to beg to get it opened. We ordered 2 starters, of which 1 was grilled goat cheese, but the "thing" we received wasn't goat cheese but something chewy.
