Patio de comidas regionales El Cardon — Restaurant in San Miguel de Tucumán

5/5 experience, if possible I would give even higher rating! For me as an European, this was essential showing me the culture and heart of Argentina. But starting from the beginning, the cultural restaurant is located in a Patio which is full of flowers and at the end you enter the classical colonial building. Inside is everything as highly restored but culturally preserved, a Argentinian flag over a piano, classical music describing the soul of Argentina as well as photos of General Belgrano and the history of indenpendency! my brain tried to cope wirh this when the owner as well as the waitresses start talking and explaining. So we went around and took photos while people talking, drinking wine or even eating. in rhe backyard is the wooden fireplace where the food is prepared. After taking tons of pictures we decided to eat and yet have to admit, the simple and regional cuisine is still the best and made us dream about sitting in this magical place and feeling as a part of the Independency war. El local está ubicado en el patio de una antigua casa colonial. El patio tiene hermosos árboles que le dan sombra a las mesas. Eso le da una linda ambientación al lugar. Sin embargo, hay que aclarar que no se debe esperar ningún lujo en el local, es bastante rústico. El punto más bajo es el baño, con instalaciones muy rudimentarias si se quiere recibir turistas. Las empanadas son ricas pero no está en mis top de empanadas. La humita en chala estaba rica. Una mayor inversión en las instalaciones haría de este lugar un punto importante de comida...
