Beach Break Café — Restaurant in Adelaide

We were so keen to try this cafe after hearing the great reviews. After waiting half an hour for our food, we were met with some mouldy buns. We were disappointed however approached the staff with kindness and understanding. The staff member who I’m assuming was the owner or manager was very abrupt and rude. No accountability was taken for the mouldy buns. He even went on to tell us that the grey/green “furry” spots on the buns was avocado which is beyond ridiculous. We were ready to accept another bacon and egg roll to give them the benefit of the doubt however he was very argumentative and we had to ask for a refund to leave the hostile environment we were faced with. The issue was not the mould itself as we understand these things can happen. The issue was the poor, aggressive and stubborn customer service we were given and the lack of responsibility. We unfortunately did not take any photos of the buns as we were no prepared to have an argument with this man on a lovely Sunday morning. Absolutely disgusting service from man and woman who couldn't even manage a smile and only gave a pathetic sullen hello. Speaking to each other in their foreign language and no apology after they made a mistake of which size coffee we asked for. These people should not be in customer service or hospitality because they suck at it! Their regular is actually a small and their large is actually a regular. They're greedy, refusing to double cup my husband's boiling hot long black. Coffee was below average. We will never be wasting another cent at this place. Lovely little Cafe on beach front at West Beach. I didn't know existed. Menus is small but so much easier to make decisions on what to eat. Service was quick, and with a smile, young man was very helpful in helping with menu enquiries.

Cafe is not a sit-in, and there are limited sitting options outside, but if you are lucky enough to get a table outside and the weather is good, it's definitely worth staying.
