Today, Such a bad experience at Beyond india Modbury restaurant. I already been there before but today customer service representative ( simran ) was too rude and not accept their mistake and lot of argue with me.
Today i did online order and it was 1 paneer methi mali, 3 butter naan and 2 whole meal butter roti. Accidentally, she forgot to put 2 whole meal roti . I checked that order at home because its cliped in beg.
I checked order once i was at home( nearly after 10 minutes to pick order) and its missing 2 whole meal roti. I called at restaurant and told them you guys are forgetting 2 whole meal roti. She gave me 3 options and not any one suited for me. She told me my driver came your home after 35 minutes so what about naan and curry, it will be getting cold. She told me i gave credit, but at the moment, 3 naan is not enough for us so I don’t want credit.
I told them to make whole order new one and i will come and pick it up and giving to back your old order. She told me I didn’t make curry back. I said ohk no pro. Make it naan and whole meal roti, i will come and pick by my self. I wast my time and fuel both and want to hot food so.
She already made naan and roti for me and when i pick up my order. She told me, my chefs never be mistake. They didn’t forget to put whole meal roti. She didn’t accept their mistake and rude to us with arguments. I said, i am regular customer at your restaurant but She told me i am working 3.5 year here and I didn’t see you then i see transactions at my mobile phone and she belive.
She didn’t say sorry and apology for them mistake. She has so much ego and not good behaviour with me. she don’t care about customer which I realise today and at last she tod me , guys don’t worry about that type of customer, it will happen. With attitude and eco. ( so badly treat customer)
We are not that person who waste 20 min , waste fule for pick up only $8 roti at restaurants. Time is important for us.Time is money for us.
I gave my whole order and got refund back.
I worked in same position before with 6 year but Never happened like that. She said i am one per who giving to reply on google review so don’t worry. I don’t want to tell simran anymore. I just want to share my incident to customers about your attitude and ego.
The thing is, we all are human and human can make mistakes. At some position, we accept our mistakes and run business with good reviews. But today simran don’t want to that. She is stick with their ego and attitude and end of the result she loose one customer.
I don’t know she is manager or owner or CSR at restaurants but if anyone who is higher position in restaurants then definitely take some advice to simran so she will know how to make customer and how to solve quarry.
You think about your job and earn money but sometime your attitude and behaviour towards customers , it will big impact on business which simran did not know today that i feel.
Only food is not important to us. Your behaviour, your service to us, your way of talking to us that all factors are important.
Please improve your skills. How to talk with customer and how to manage customer. It happened like that, you will definitely loose your business. Manage your attitude and eco on work place.

Our Family went to have Dinner at 'Beyond India' in Modbury, after a long and difficult day. Unfortunately we were told that, because it was 9:20pm, unless we were able to order and finish eating by 10pm, we were too late to Dine In, but we were able to order Take Away from them. The Serving Lady asked how we were and, when I said that we had had a difficult day, she offered us two complimentary glasses of room temperature filtered water, which was thoughtful.
We took ages to order, because of being tired, so it was probably best that we were doing Take Away, but then they took quite a while to prepare it too, apparently they were suddenly busy so this was understandable.
Our Youngest Daughter's Mango Lassi was served in a large takeaway container, which was funny but very generous - at least 500mls!! 👍 She said it was the equal best Mango Lassi she has ever had, if not the best!! 🌟 The rest of our Food was MARVELLOUS too, perfectly cooked and full of rich flavours! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Lemon Rice, Steamed Basmati Rice, Onion Bhajia, Mixed Vegetable Pakora, Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Hot Chips, Cucumber Raita, Cheese and Garlic Naan, Papadums, Paneer Makhani, and Paneer Methi Malai were all absolutely perfect!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The mushroom flavour of the Mushroom Baigan Massala was so overpowering that my Husband could not taste the other flavours of Zucchini, Tomato or Red Capsicum at all, so he said that he would not order it again, unfortunately.
The Cheese and Chilli Naan was much hotter than any we have had anywhere else because it was actually stuffed with loads of Green Chillies!🔥 My Husband loved this, but neither of our Daughters (9 and 16) could handle it, unfortunately, so it might be best to avoid ordering this for Children.
Overall I would definitely highly recommend 'Beyond India' in Modbury for a delicious Family Takeaway...

I ordered the following through the 'Eat Club' App; x1 Mango Chicken (The Culprit) x1 Butter Chicken The ingredients listed for the Mango Chicken are as follows; Chicken curry with mango, onion, ginger, garlic, curry, cumin.
You might be thinking, "Well it's a curry, surely there might be nuts in it!" - even though it wasn't listed in the ingredients, this MIGHT be an excuse, however;
Picking up the Order (This is the VERBATIM CONVERSATION)
Peter: Hi, I wanted to double check that neither of these curry's had any nuts in them
Server: Let me check... Butter chicken... Mango... no there are no nuts in these.
Peter: Okay thanks!
Upon returning home (This is the VERBATIM CONVERSATION)
After two spoonfuls of the Mango Chicken, it was clear that it had nuts in them (I've had similar reactions before). You might think "well, it could be a reaction to anything"
Fiance calling the Restaurant while I purge to avoid a Severe reaction
Fiance: Hi, You had an order for a Peter Forgione about 20 minutes ago for a Butter Chicken and Mango Chicken. Could you please check if the Mango Chicken had nuts in it?
Phone Operator: One moment hold music. Yes it has nuts in it. (They didn't clarify which type)
Fiance: ...He was told there were no nuts when picking up the order.
Phone Operator: ...Okay.
