Fantastic local businesses. We arrived 15 minutes before opening shop/cafe but were welcomed inside. Took our time deciding what to order then looked at the wonderful Christmas gingerbread house display and the old timey chocolate machinery. Beautiful Christmas chocolate options and everyday goodies with a variety of price ranges. We ordered breakfast and coffee. Waffle, strawberry, ice-cream and chocolate for my son and super porridge with fruit and huge coffee for me. Choc mint iced drink amazing too. Lovely staff. Met the owner in carpark and his staff had the same message as him. Please come in, we'll be with you at 9am and then from there the experience was the most relaxing, delicious start to Christmas shopping and chores day for us!

Bracegirdle's Cross Road was a great place for lunch. We tried the corn fritters and quiche, both of which were quite tasty. The quiche was perfectly cooked, while the corn fritters, though creamy and flavorful, lacked crispiness, which was a bit unexpected. The long black and latte were satisfying, well-prepared, and smooth. However, the chai latte was disappointing, as it was mostly milk with very little chai flavor, leaving room for improvement. Despite these small issues, it was an enjoyable meal overall.

Beautiful place, the staff were inviting and friendly, the coffee and chocolate was as delicious but the vintage breakfast was very disappointing. Big breakfast equivalent to other cafes came with all the usual suspects but only 1 piece of bacon and 1 piece of bread, and the hashbrowns are not your typical hashbrown. I ordered poached eggs and all I could taste was vinegar, far too overpowering. Overall for the price I expected more and better quality.

I would actually rate 0 stars if the option existed. Terrible service from the Bracegirdles bus at Mt Lofty today. I asked the lady serving if they did babycinos which she advised they did, so I ordered and paid. When the barista making said he's making the frothy milk, I asked if that was my babycino and he abruptly said they don't do babycinos there only frothy milks. I said I had asked when ordering of they sold them and was advised yes, hence I ordered it for my son but would not have spent money on frothy milk because he would waste most of it. The lady who took the order never said a word the entire conversation. He told me I could leave and take a refund extremely rudely so I said no, I would still take it and as I walked off, he said behind my back loud enough that I would still hear him, 'you were told' ! I would never order again since I had purchased 7 drinks with terrible service and no where near as nice tasting as the actual in...

Disappointed and Misled – Check Expiry Dates Carefully!

I visited this chocolate shop on 14/7/25 and 15/7/25 and purchased two boxes (16 pieces each) for $52.50/each as a special gift for my family friends. I specifically asked the shop assistant about the expiry date and was told they expire in November 2025. Trusting that, I also asked for gift wrapping, which they agreed to do. To my shock and embarrassment, after gifting the chocolates, we looked more closely and saw the actual expiry date was 11/8/25 – just a few weeks away, not months like they claimed! This experience was really disappointing. Misleading information about expiry dates is unacceptable, especially when buying  a gift. I expected better honesty and customer care from a specialty...
