Bricks & Stones Cafe — Restaurant in Adelaide

We came here for brunch before my husband heads to work. Prior to coming here we already checked the reviews online and have high hopes considering a fairly high rating in Google. My husband ordered a flat white. Having a sip of his coffee we both agreed it was OK but not the typical strong coffee that we usually enjoy. I ordered the mushroom dish which I found was OK, a tad on the salty side especially the kale that goes with it. My husband likes baked eggs so he decided on that. Unfortunately, he found the sauce they used for the baked eggs extremely salty for his liking. He asked me to try it and asked for my thoughts and I agree, it was. After a few more spoonful he couldn't eat it anymore. I have brought this to their attention and they came and asked my husband for his thoughts. They asked if he wants a replacement or something else but due to the time constraints he declined. They just said that they will not charged for that dish and no apologies said. Unfortunately, I don't think will be back anytime soon.

Came in with a friend for their famous Grains and Greens options which i regularly have. I was absolutely shocked at the portion size. It was one third of what it used to be, absolutely tiny, definitely not worth the money. Mentioned it to the waitress, she offered to only charge for one, my friend also heard this.When I went to pay she denied this and said it was a coffee she was detecting. I paid and left. It was not about the money, it was about being lied to and ripped off. No excuses from management will suffice. I will not be going back Dear Owner. I just want to clear up that it was no mis communication. After I was told that one dish would be taken off the Bill, another waitress unaware of this offer, suggested she bring us one complimentary dish. I said yes thinking she meant we would get one complimentary by detecting the price. She went to the kitchen to order one, thats when I realised what she meant and replied " Oh sorry I misunderstood, I thought you were referring to the one taken off the docket". Found B&S in the EB. Unassuming frontage conveniently located opposite Unley Shopping Centre. It was really busy (and noisy) when we arrived at 12pm Sunday. There was a waiting queue for tables. A staff member approached us with a smile and informed us of a short wait. That was fine, with designated waiting area. The staff provided us with a menu to peruse and allow us to make a decision promptly once seated. We waited around 20min, which was fine. The staff were courteous and set up our table efficiently and with a smile. We ordered the Crispy brocollini/kale/quinoa/poached egg/pea/dukkah/chicken creation, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce, and scrambled eggs/bacon/toast for our little man. 15min later we were greeted with our order. Nicely presented and generous serves, we were all happy with our meals. Probably not the place for little people with sensory issues. However, the service and food was great.
