It has now been around 5 years since I first sent foot in this restaurant and I (we, Lara & I) have been ordering mostly take away on a regular basis (every 2-3 weeks). The owner (boss) is very likeable (never did ask for his name): very forthright, helpful & witty in his own Asian way... The food is incredible: if you're after authentic Vietnamese food then this is the place to be: the cold rolls, salads, curries, Singapore noodles, Pad Thai, crispy fried beef, prawn spring rolls etc. are incredible and the salt & pepper king prawns with a truffle mayo are to die for... Also, the special fried rice is amongst the best I've ever had! Also, the portions are generous and reasonably priced. So, do yourselves a favour and give them a whirl. I swear, you won't regret it! Soup itself was quite commercial tasting, with no aromats in it at all, i.e. kaffir lime leaves, galangal, curry leaves, etc. Could have been made from a powder for all I know.
