Burger O'clock — Restaurant in Adelaide

This place was recommended by a friend who speaks highly of this restaurant. Thought we give it a go.

Start off with the pricing. I find it a little bit pricey for what you get compared to other competitors that has very similar concept.

Tried the buffalo wings, nothing out of the ordinary, I think it is a good spice. If you’re a spice lover this might not be spicy enough for you, may need to ask for extra.

The burgers are very delicious. We all did enjoy our burgers very much, the bun was fresh, the protein was cooked beautifully. The ingredients inside is the right amount and done perfectly well balanced with the flavours. Cheeseburger is good, definitely better than most burger joints. It wasn’t too greasy and had plenty of flavour. Cheese melted nicely into the meat. Fire bird burger has a good spicy kick to it. The sauce is just right, all ingredients complimented each other well.

The chicken tenders we got however for the price we were kind of shook, the pieces we got were tiny. Did felt like a rip off there. Chips were the same, little amount for the price.

Forgot a few things we ordered, first worker wasn’t sure how to respond and then the next worker came in, apologised and fixed the issue and try to compensate us....

I've only had burger o'clock twice via uber but both times haven't been great. I'm a burger fiend and take pride in cooking an awesome smash burger at home. Super disappointing when you pay a premium for a burger from a store and they can't even get the patty right. It's almost like they're cooking up lean mince from Coles, or just cooking it soo long that every gram of fat has run off the back of the grill.

First time was okay... But the beef and buns were both somewhat overcooked so tasted of charr rather than the maillard flavours you'd expect. Definitely not the greasy, juicy patty that you should get with a smash burger. I figured it was a bad night so I'd try them again.

Second time around (pictured) was almost inedible. The patties were incredibly dry to the point my partner and I both couldn't finish our burgers. We were both adding extra sauce just to try and make it edible. The only flavour was the charr and cheese. And how are they burning the buns?

The popcorn chicken was also overcooked to the point it was dry, they talk up that it's marinated overnight and coated in special spices but it legitimately just tasted like overcooked chicken, no other flavours. Chips and bacon were good though so a point...

I drove for just over an hour last night to try the Heart Attack Burger. Mac and Cheese buns, handpressed beef patty, maple bacon, southern fried chicken breast. Lots of cheese and the truffle BBQ Mayo 😋 also got sweet potato fries and can of soft drink.

the drive was well worth it. the burger was absolutely amazing. can't fault anything. the mac and cheese buns were absolutely delicious and the beef patty was perfectly cooked and fresh. the maple bacon was amazing. nice amount of maple but nice thickness of bacon (that's what she said) 😂🤭 The southern fried chicken breast was also perfectly cooked and juicy and fresh and had a nice little bite to it.

the sweet potato fries were awesome and fresh and cooked perfectly too. best I've had.

all in all definitely the best burger and sweet potato fries I've had and will be back to try something else.

I did get some sauce samples which are made on-site by them themselves and the Chilli Mayo is a must if you like a bit of a spicy sauce.
