Fresh. Great Value. Good Staff.
I've spent the last 4 years enjoying all the various Vietnamese places around, love me some Tay-Do and Zens and Nhu-Lan for Bánh mì... but my gosh.
Enter DC Roll & Bowl, a place so generically named that I thought nothing of them multiple times I walked past. But a fortnight ago my partner and I went through, and liked it so much I've been back 5 times since.
The Monster Bánh mì - Look, I'm a big dude. Typically, I eat two Bánh mì for a solid lunch, but this one roll, lets just say it lives up to its name. Is it traditional? Probably not. Is it delicious? ABSOLUTELY.
It's not just the volume of food in this roll, it's the flavour, how soft and juicy the meat is, how perfectly crunchy the pork is, and then the egg. Look, if you haven't had egg on a Bánh mì before, you are completely missing out.
Cold Rolls with plump, fresh, delicious prawn. Bao Sliders with perfectly balanced flavours. Honestly, just go there, you won't be disappointed.

My combination noodle bowl was similar unfortunately and did not contain one of the advertised ingredients- beef balls. The combination rice bowl also lacked flavour. We routinely eat Vietnamese food and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a somewhat negative review. We only ate there based on the 4.4 star reviews. Not quite sure if they were having a bad day or what as the other...

The BEST Tofu Rolls/chicken rolls/roast pork in Adelaide, and I have tried soooo many! Rolls are always fresh and crunchy, the fillings are always full. They are very generous. Great noodle salad bowls too. They are cheaper than most places. Not stingy with their serves. Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice and clean interior too. Last but not least, they open on Sundays! Most other Viet places close on Sundays or close early so you can always can depend on them. My favourite banh mi place...
