I visited this café with my client, who lives with a disability and uses a walker.
What takes most people five minutes took him 20 minutes—navigating unfamiliar terrain and pushing through fear to finally get there.
When he arrived, he smiled at the staff and said: “I feel accomplished. I’ve finally made it here after being humbugged by her (me!) for ages.” Her response? “That’s nice.” (With a smile)
It was a moment where a little more warmth and open questioning could’ve gone a long way. (It wasn’t busy at all)

My concern:
❌ No table water available at this venue ❌ No accessible toilet available (despite having indoor and outdoor seating)
In the end…
