I leave this review just for the manager; i have been a customer of this restaurant for 2 years now and love their food. Today i had a date and i suggested to go to this restaurant because i knew from experience that they are friendly and their food is really delicious. After getting there we had to relocate twice because the tables were booked previously(there was no booking signs on them tho), then after ordering 2 main dishes and some fries we waited for 45 minutes to get our food (absolutely acceptable), first was my order which was an Iskandar kabab and then after another 20 min my dates food came which was a plate of kofte. Previously when i used to order Iskandar kabab one of the waiters used to come and pour some butter on it which it didn't happen this time so i asked one of the chiefs for some butter and he rudely replayed that it has already been added to the dish but he will bring some more (happens and again because this place is one of my favorite places to eat i didnt mind his rudeness), he came after few minutes to pour some butter and brought my date's food. The dish of koftes had 4 pieces of kofte in it and some carrots and potatoes, completely under cooked and tasted like raw mince meat. We didn't touch that dish and got busy with the Iskandar kabab which was phenomenal. They forgot to bring us our fries so after finishing my Iskandar kabab (kofte dish remained untouched) i canceled the chips and ordered some Turkish coffee without any sugar. When they brought the coffees they were sweet as a candy and undrinkable so we left them on the table too. In nutshell im leaving this review because i like this restaurant and would like to come back but only if they change their waitress and do something about the quality of some...
Read moreI have been a customer of the restaurant since many years and have recommended several people to visit Saray. Firstly, since my last three visits, the quality of food varies every time. The food taste is deteriorating with every day. Secondly, today I went with my family for lunch there and at the end of our meal, my one-year old baby got thirsty. So I politely requested the manager, Muhammad, for tap water (since we had already purchased drinks and the baby could neither have coke nor cold bottled water from the fridge). I was rudely told that we don't provide tap water. It was a surprise for me. However, I just got up and decided to leave. As I was leaving, I saw the owner giving tap water in a glass to an Aussie customer. I was in utter shock and I asked the owner as to why was I not provided with the tap water. He told me that it's not our policy and if you are unhappy with this, don't come again. I was flabbergasted and really disappointed because this owner calls himself a Muslim. That's how you treat your customers in a hot day if he asks for just a glass of water? Highly unprofessional, arrogant and unfortunately they don't have any business ethics. I have visited several restaurants and never have I been told that we can't provide tap water cuz we need to have a "licence" to provide it. Why did they need a licence to provide me with water and not to the Aussie. I am not gonna go...
Read moreCold and unfriendly waitresses (one of them didn't even try to smile in response to our "thank you" while she was putting plates on the table!), it took over 30 min to serve just two dishes! Their male staff kept looking at us while working on the barbecue or counting money at the cashier (the latter was wearing a singlet!!), very uncomfortable experience!! Food is just average for the price, you don't taste authentic Turkish cuisine or not even close to one's expectations. There were no straws for the drinks, we checked all their counter tops! Two other points that made me disappointed with the restaurant were: 1. They don't come to get your order, you need to order at the cashier (c'mon people, it's not KFC or any street food vendor in a busy food court, you are supposed to admit your customers as a RESTAURANT does!) ; and 2.there was a sign saying they do not serve "table water", and they apologized for the "inconvenience"! If you know that is considered an inconvenience, you should address it, tackle it, instead of being...
