This was so disappointing and I have no idea how that’s possible when they were so severely overstaffed. The food was beyond average- you pay $12 for hommus and three small slices of ciabatta. The hommus is pulled from a three dollar tub of Yummi’s from Coles (I saw the chef slap it on the plate and I could taste that inauthentic slop anywhere ifykyk). Could not for the life of me understand how this was even an option for the kitchen when hommus is the cheapest and easiest thing to make on this earth- seriously, grab some chickpeas, some oil and a NutriBullet and get cracking.
Next, we got pork belly which was rubbery and tasted like it had been reheated to serve. Which, I’m almost definitely positive it was. The sides we were unfortunate enough to receive were just some smartbuy almond flakes, toasted, chucked over some crunchy as heaven broccolini that’s flavour had been sapped away by whatever heinous way they decided to cook it.
We had more, but honestly, nothing was going to save this experience for me. Not even those deliciously marinated honey walnuts that came with the burrata. There was about four of them on our dish. They were the best feature of the night.
Another thing- I will pay THEM to never have to see another bean sprout again.
I’d heard negative things about their customer service and it only proved to be true which was seriously unfortunate because the place has a cute little vibe going. They had way too many people on shift, all standing around doing nothing which was massively putting me off. Meanwhile no table service, dirty dishes sat on our table for half an hour longer than they should have, gave us fork and knives for dessert, no cups when we asked for water. Very little customer service, and very little positive interaction. It was a nightmare and not really excusable when you have a half a dozen people standing behind the bar, wandering around aimlessly, looking ready to fly off the Port Noarlunga jetty. Like if you’re that bored, I can still see the god forsaken bean sprout from customer one, that’s still sitting there when customer three come to take the table. It was embarrassing and all I could think about is how much money the owners are wasting on staff they don’t need.
The cocktails are also quite expensive- they dress a lot of them the same, very little creativity, very repetitive. If you’re thinking about going there to get your Insta on… don’t. We all had three different drinks with juice and they all came in the same small, simple glass, with the same sprig of rosemary and slice of orange.

Read moreFirst visit - NOT GREAT! Went for meal on Sunday night. The food was good quality, (tasty and creative) but the experience was let down by very poor front of house service: No meet and greet as arrived - first time being there and no welcome, and no explanation as to process of ordering food/drink; just an assumption you have to go to bar and order - just made it feel unfriendly and rushed. We ordered a jug of alcoholic cocktail - and it was brought to our table - minus glasses to actually drink it. The young lady promised to come back with some glasses, but after sitting and waiting for over 15 minutes - it was obvious she had forgotten. We then had to go to the bar and ask for glasses - and were given 3 very warm (just out of the dish washer) glasses to drink our cocktail! When we finally were able to drink - we discovered it was a jug of 'fizzy-colored water' with no alcohol - which cost $40! We complained and asked exactly what was in the cocktail. The manager struggled to tell us exactly what was in it! but tasted it and accepted it was not a cocktail. He promised to make 3 new drinks - which we accepted. The manager must have forgotten his promise - because he failed to bring us any drinks and we were ignored for 20mins while he went about serving other people. By then we were fed up, and just walked out - annoyed and decided we were not going to beg for service again!
There were 3 staff members at the front of house - the place wasn't that busy; we got the impression they didn't know what they were doing - it was a 'red flag' moment when the manager struggled to actually recall what was supposed to be in our cocktail. We had big hopes as the place looks great and there really is nothing much to do down south - but a cocktail bar is all about warm friendly, efficient service; and ABOVE ALL - it should be about serving quality cocktails by staff who have knowledge about cocktails - The place failed on all of this on the Sunday we were there. Sorry really wanted to be able to give a good review - but this place...
Read moreWe walked in and were able to get a table straight away.
The staff member that served us was very friendly and bubbly.
We sat outside which seems like the main seating area but there are tables inside aswell.
It has kind of a sports bar feel. Everything is very white though. There was a big TV screen next to our table but it wasn't on so I don't know if they are actually used to show games or what not. It wasn't cold so I didn't notice if they had heaters outside. We were comfortable where we were.
The food and drinks were the highlight of this place. They didn't drop the ball once. Everything tasted amazing. Also a big fan of the mocktails. Not a lot of places do these so its refreshing to have so many choices.
I think this would be a great place to bring groups for a tapas like feel. Easy to share the plates.
I will say they did have some unavailable menu items but everything we ordered wasn't really effected and all the swaps they did make were nice.
Definitely keen to come back and try some of the...
