George's Café & Grill — Restaurant in Adelaide

We are not that regular but we live nearby. We have been there three times over last 2 weeks since it is school holiday. It was all okay and we were happy with the food.

Today I was not there and I do not know who was serving us.

My kids and their grandma went for breakfast. They have been there 3 times and order their usual choices. Somehow today the lady mistaken the order twice.

The hot drink did not come. The eggs cooked in a different way. And very disappointedly they refused to cook again. The reason was ridiculous. The server said once cooked, they cannot change. Ha?

My kids are Australian with perfect english. They ordered by themselves. The grandma is not good in english. I guess they bullied her because she cannot argued upon.

I am the kids' mother and knew this after work. All in all, I do not think locals would have such experience. How dare they? Besides, I know without our purchase, they can still maintain business. But i wish to give feedback here so that they will pay attention to customer service for any customers of any age and background.

Yep. We will not go back anymore. Yes, I feel better now because you deserve a 1 star today. Very sad.

What an amazing establishment! Came here while in the area today and I will be back! The man behind the counter was so lovely and gracious to all the customers who walked through his door. A great little intimate deli style cafe with loads of options to eat and drink. Couldn’t decide between the lamb yiros plate and scrambled eggs so got both to share. After all, they were both only $16 each! With massive servings, the scrambled eggs came with 4 massive bits of scrambled egg, 2 perfectly toasted pieces of bread, 4 slices of perfectly cooked thick bacon, as well as avocado, feta and rocket. The yiros plate had generous helpings of lamb meat, pita bread and greek salad with some yummy dip. Coffee was also phenomenal, loved my cappuccino with a great amount of chocolate on the top. I recently visited and I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere immediately made me feel at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.

As for the coffee, it's some of the best I've had in the area. I ordered a cappuccino and mocha and it was perfectly balanced — rich, smooth, and not too bitter.

What I really appreciated was the relaxed vibe of the place. It’s perfect for both a quiet solo visit or a casual meet-up with friends.
