Joe's at Sabella (& Taco José) — Restaurant in Adelaide

I am so sad, we were so looking forward to eating here. One guest didn't get her pizza that she had ordered and paid for. We asked multiple times for the missing pizza. Finally we went back to the counter and the waitress told us she had to show owner the reciept for him to believe that the pizza was paid for. We waited one hour for that pizza. We were treated really badly by the owner when he finally delivered it. While the rest of us had finished our bottles of wine, pizzas and then desserts, one guest finally got her pizza. We asked for her to get her money refunded because she had to eat that pizza so fast because we were so late. The owner was so rude to her !!! If the owner had said "sorry I forgot your pizza" all would have been fine but instead the staff created this whole drama. I would strongly suggest you don't spend your time and money here, there are other more welcoming restaurants that deserve...

Come here. My colleagues and I had an incredible experience at this genuinely family-run cellar door/restaurant on the main street of McLaren Vale yesterday evening. We walked into this gorgeous converted church and were greeted by 3 friendly generations of the family. Michael took us through the wines and we had a great chat along the way. The food and wine here was divine and you could tell everything was made with love.

The Nero d'Avola is amazing, true to variety but with layers imparted by the region and winemaker, the Cab Sauv is on another level, completely unique, fruit-driven, complex and smooth, the Rosé is one of the best I've ever had (!) and the single variety Colorino is so well made, from what I'd heard about this grape as a color-enhancer in blends, I didn't think it could be transformed into such a brilliant, complex, standalone variety wine.

They forgot our order in a half empty venue and couldn’t have cared less. The owner was sitting near us in the garden and paid no attention to his staff’s lack of customer service. Very disappointing as we’ve had good experience ls there before.

We were not offered our meal free of charge. We were not informed our meal had been delivered to another table by a trainee. We would have understood the mistake. In this case, though we would have expected that the misdelivery was picked up when a second meal was delivered to that table, and that staff might have noticed that we had been waiting patiently for over 3/4 hour after drinks and cutlery were delivered to our table.
