Simply stunning – food, location, experience! A wonderfully warm welcome and then quickly seated on the verandah – warm, fresh air, and a relaxing lunch. We shared some Pane al Forno (wood-oven bread) served with butter which was so tasty. Mark from Maxwell’s recommended the Pappardelle Anatra e Zaffereno (pappardelle, slow-cooked duck, pancetta, artichokes, chilli, garlic, saffron cream & pecorino) which was out of this world – the best pasta I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly cooked pasta with extremely generous amounts of duck – sensational. My husband had the lamb shoulder ragu with penne which he loved. And my friend had Taglierini al Granchio (taglierini, SA crab meat, leek, garlic, chilli, flamed brandy & napoletana sauce) which she devoured with gusto – and said was amazing. And I’d highly recommend a walnut, pear, rocket & pecorino salad with balsamic reduction. Service from Jess was warm, friendly and efficient. A wonderful place for lunch in the McLaren Vale.

We came through for lunch today (Saturday) without a booking and were lucky to be able to seated. We had the bocconcini bruschetta entree and for mains, the Spaghetti Al Frutti Di Mare and the Spalla Di Agnello Ragu. The entree was insanely good and served in about 15mins. The mains came out about 10mins later; perfect timing. After trying each others meals, we couldn’t work out which one we loved more so we went halves in everything. The wine list was great, as was the service, the variety in the menu, and the pace everything came out at. This was our second visit and it certainly won’t be our last. Thank you, Maria and everyone there xo

Nice outdoor seating along the deck. Choices are limited. Aranchinni balls were crunchy on the outside, tastes creamy inside, could be cheesier. Garlic bread was crispy but not very buttery or garlicy. Mains were delicious. Steak was cooked medium rare and goes well with the sauce. Pork fillet was a bit tough but the creamy sauce was delicious and all the pairing condiments went well with it. Crackle was crispy. Seafood pasta was yummy and generous with the seafood. Crab pasta was also heartwarming. Fish of the day was good too. Overall food Was good but nothing went wow for me..

Visted Vasarellis with a few friends on the 11th of November 2023 and lets just say, I was very impressed. When I arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by our waitress and brought to our table. Whilst walking through the restaurant we were welcomed with friendly smiles by every staff member. The restaurant is immaculate, clean and very well decorated. We ordered an entree of garlic bread and i will say that it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly crispy and coated in the right amount of toppings. We then were greeted by our waitress who took our orders for our dinner. Our table ordered the gnocchi, a steak, and a bowl of chips with tomato sauce. The gnocchi was scrumptious. The potato was perfectly rounded and cooked well. The cream on the gnocchi was so tasty and spread evenly through the entire dish. The steak was a fan favourite. It was cooked perfectly to our request, juicy and mouth watering. Shoutout to Darren, the chef who cooked it, compliments to the chef! The bowl of chips was adored at our table. There were cooked perfected crispy, but soft. The tomato sauce was delish! Best sauce i've had in a while. Overall our experience was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is perfectly presented and has friendly, patient and approachable staff. Even when seated outside, we werent cold, due to the good quality heaters. We would definetly visit again. This was one of my best experiences at a restaurant yet. A big thankyou to our waitress Briarna. She was very helpful and great at her job. Keep up the good work!! Will be returning...

On the hunt for a last minute dinner reservation in McLaren Vale on a Saturday night. Vasarelli was the only restaurant that could help us out after trying 3-4 other options (no reason just worked through a google search).

As soon as we were seated we felt like this was going to be a good night.

The bread starter was a good size and very nice wood oven bread.

We had international visitors from Colorado USA - one of whom raved about the duck pasta as being one of the best she’d ever had.

I got the steak - and couldn’t fault it. I thought it was cooked perfectly to my liking (medium rare), trimmed well with minimal hard fat just a nice cap. Considering the size (300gm) and quality I thought $37 was a more than fair price and would happily buy again.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our meals did take a little while to come out - but given the steak I ordered and the fact they probably stretched their staff to accommodate our extra booking when everywhere else was booked out - consider it a small price to pay. Certainly better than the alternative

Overall I would 100% go back to Vasarelli and highly recommend you try it if looking for somewhere for dinner in...
