I've ordered food here nearly a dozen times since I've moved to McLaren Vale. Mostly a quarter leg with chips . Over 90% of the time , the chip portion is rather small and only once have I had a tail/chicken bum from over a dozen different day orders . My favourite treat on the chook . Also , the chicken has always been dry and worse , chicken jerky . I ordered a chicken snitzel burger which was well overcooked and burnt crumb . This order also had me overcharged and had to raise the overcharging issue with her . A dry piece if chicken leg with a tiny serving of chips for $15 . I assume she is the owner too . First went to Chicken Inn 3 yrs ago and they were open, but claimed to be out of chickens as using them for tomorrow's chicken rolls, so left empty handed. Not sure why they were even open if that was the case. After swearing I wouldn't be back, I changed my mind and hoped maybe ownership had changed. Well went again. Wanted 2 chickens for an early dinner. They only had one and three quarters left. Chips were nice, but chicken was dry and hard to swallow. Once again extremely disappointed. If you are a chicken shop then you should specialise in chickens. Maybe stick with just being a chip shop. Give this one a miss until maybe somebody new with a bit more...
