I had one of the worst dining experiences at Nando’s Kurralta Park, and I feel compelled to share it in hopes that the management takes serious action to improve things. Today, my dine-in order was left unattended on the serving counter for at least 10 minutes. I could clearly see it sitting there while the staff were busy chatting amongst themselves. No one checked or served the food. Eventually, I went up and asked if it was for Table 3. One of the female staff members who appeared to be of South Asian background confirmed it was, but when I asked why no one was serving it, she didn’t say a word and simply walked away into the kitchen.
I want to be very clear: this is not about anyone’s background, and I always try to treat people respectfully. But when the majority of the staff don’t show basic customer service manners or courtesy, it reflects a serious issue in training and culture. Regardless of background, every customer deserves to be acknowledged and served with respect.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve had poor service at this location, and it’s in stark contrast to the consistently excellent service and food at Nando’s Westfield Marion. And also, in Kurralta Park branch the food quality also seemed to suffer and carelessly prepared.
I hope Nando’s management looks into this carefully, both in terms of staff training and accountability, so that customers are treated with the respect they deserve, and the food is served fresh and promptly.
I remained calm and polite throughout the experience, but I walked away disappointed. I won’t be returning to this store in...
Read moreThis has been my favourite place to eat for almost 8 years. Even though I live closer to Marion, I always preferred kurralta park for to excellent customer service. This is until recently one day when my sugar level rest running low she I was beginning to feel a bit dizzy. Nothing Nando's can't fix. However the staff member made it impossible to order. I was informed that ordering over the counter is not an option anymore and that I have to order from my table. When I asked for assistance with ordering I was pointed towards the QR code on the table and that it is very simple. I asked repeatedly if this is the only way to order and the staff confirmed they it was the only way and walked away. I tried to order with the QR code but it was too complicated for me or perhaps felt complicated in that hangry state.i fiddled with my phone for 5 minutes and when I couldn't figure it out. I went to the sushi place next door and got my food in 1 minute without complication. I am not sure how people who only have cash, or don't use cell phones or are disabled are expected to order at Nando's. If cash is not welcome or technologically challenged people are not welcome i think it should be written in bold letters outside the front door so we don't waste our time coming in. I suspect it's either casual racism or staff that is overly eager to make the customer self serve so there is less work for them to do. Either way the experience has put me off...
Read moreWe went there tonight to have a family meal. Our last experience wasn’t a great one either and kids asked me to drive to our favourite place Marion store but it was convenient as I live close and decided to drive there.
It was worse experience ever. Firstly, I placed an order and order was spilt into two orders as I was going to redeem some points (completely understandable). From that point onwards, it was stuff up after stuff up. First we got half of the order, and serving size was really small for the salad. So called ‘ROASTED BROCCOLI, turned out be cold and no sign of roast anywhere’.
As we were discussing the poor quality of broccoli and small serve of salad, out comes my other half order which turned out to be chicken and we ordered, vegetarian. So needed up this way - four orders for a family and all came separately.
When I asked the managed about poor quality of broccoli, she responded that this is how they cook. Apparently, it is cooked in an own and then put it in the fridge, when customers order, they simply zap It for 20 second. That is the process she told me - I asked her to check the food, it was still cold and just tasted like boiled broccoli.
There was no remorse and instead, I noticed them having fun in the kitchen. Terrible and disgusting, no remorse from staff - I won’t be going there again. Stay away from here and try one in Marion shop...
