Totally amazed by what I found with my mum at Nature's Providore. The staff are really nice, the food is great, mocha really smooth and atmosphere nice with cushioned bench seats, natural wood tables, complementary blankets for outdoor eating in the cooler months, plus funky bright coloured crockery that still allow the food on your plate to pop and make your mouth water. I've had the 'Nature's Breakfast Bowl' twice now and will be returning to try out the other plant based meals on their menu. This place is great for mixed dietary requirements. Food is on the expensive side, but good portion sizes and very fresh produce make it worth the extra $.

I got to places for 2 main reasons. The coffee and particular dishes. Natures serves fine coffee and the mushrooms and truffled scrambled egg is one of the best in Adelaide. I love it. They changed the menu last year and I nearly had a heart attack. I messaged them on Facebook to check they weren’t getting rid of it and I needn’t have worried. It’s a classic. The vibe is a bit frenetic sometimes and it gets busy at the times you would expect it to be. The service isn’t always the best but I’m never in a hurry so I don’t mind.

Staff friendly. Liked the all day breakfast menu items. They only offer pizza & a side salad menu on a Friday & Saturday evening. BUT NO WINE MENU YET! Owners Jess & Darren are working on that for a licence. I do recommend you come and try Providore. The coffee was excellent. I had a meal with a most unusual hashbrown which was very tasty. The eggs were to my liking, 2 soft poached eggs, bacon & small tomatoes. Ask for bread to come with the order.

A previously loved local - today they seemed to forget a dietary requirement on our order. I am dairy free while breastfeeding as 4mth old bub is believed to have a dairy intolerance or allergy. This has been a medically recommended course of action. Ordered my meal dairy free. Ate it assuming order had been correctly made but sadly bub is unwell tonight with the tell tale symptoms previously shown when I ate dairy. The only place this could have occurred was at Natures Providore as I ate self prepared meals the rest of the day. I understand mistakes happen but this isn’t a preferred dietary requirement- it’s a required one. I understand no commercial premise guarantees food is free from traces of allergens. And I eat packaged foods with traces regularly- but this was much more than trace amounts to have had the reaction my baby has had. Leading me to believe they made a mistake with my order. Thankfully this isn’t an anaphylactic situation- just one that makes for a very unhappy unsettled baby now in pain. Do hope they read these reviews and brief their kitchen staff to be extra thorough in reviewing orders with dietary requirements.

Hi it won’t seem to let me reply to your comment so I am providing a response via an edit. To confirm I came in on Saturday (not Mothers Day) at approx 11am. I ordered the mushroom on toast with a side of scrambled eggs. I asked twice to confirm with the lady serving us that the order could be dairy free. She confirmed that yes it was. She even came back to the table to ask if I wanted the goats curd or not as it was goat not cow. And I confirmed that I didn’t want the goats curd and she offered to swap it for avocado which I gratefully accepted. The serving person was wonderful and understood the dietary need so I can only assume it was a mistake in the kitchen. Baby had bloodied nappies yesterday afternoon and evening which only happens when I eat a decent amount of dairy and usually around 4-6hrs after I’ve consumed it which is what happened on Saturday. Thank you for the apology I only give this feedback with hope you might change your docket system or protocol for dietaries so others don’t experience...

Lets cut straight to the chase, the table servant 'Ben' has certainly not been hired for his skills on waiting tables or enlightening conversation.

Firstly i have dined at natures providore on many occasions so i beleive i can provide you with a brief but semi detailed opinion.

The food and produce i have always found to be fresh and pleasant, the service from table lacky 'Ben' on the other hand was far from pleasant.

Upon my intial request of the 'seasonal breakfast with scrambled eggs' i enquired as to wether it may be possible to have my eggs poached, this request was not entertained. Mr. Benjamin was more then clear that these request are too difficult.

I then moved my attention towards another dish, which Mr. Benjamin explained again, 'it was not to be altered' lucky for me i do not suffer from any allergies, i wouldve hated to have to die at Mr. Benjamins feet following his extremist views on menu alterations.

As the temperture of blood began to raise, and the thoughts of previous years spent in custody dealing with the last impertinent, obnoxious weak little man of a waitress were floating through my mind, i bit my tongue, took a very deep breath... and ordered...

Overpriced for what you get. I doubt if I will go there again despite the reviews that others have given it, and that they claim to have been voted the best breakfast cafe in Adelaide. From my experience of other cafes in the area and nearby suburbs this is not true - makes you wonder who does the voting. The initial impression of this place was not great. The sign next to the counter said ' please wait to be seated' but not one of the four staff members behind the counter acknowledged that I was waiting. When one of the staff did, she was friendly enough but was not keen to seat me in at a window table (I wanted a table for 3) 'in case we get a large group' and yet the table I wanted only seated 6 and was smaller than the one she wanted to put me on. She agreed in the end but said I might need to move. The food was overpriced - you can get the same good quality food at other cafes for a lot lower prices. Service was a little slow and although another staff member who served us was lovely this didn't really make up for the...
