Please BELIEVE the other NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THEY ARE TRUE!!! The staff was extremely ARROGANT and ILL MANERRED right from the start. Just because this restaurant is located in a very affluent suburb that doesn't mean the food or the service is any good. They are fooling their innocent Australian customers. Most of the items we ordered arrived very quickly as if the food was already prepared and they just microwaved it and served us. PORTIONS ARE VERY LESS compared to the price and the staff was very INATTENTIVE. We ordered fresh lime soda, we got lime and lemon bitters. The soda had very little fizz. Upon questioning the waiter, he got defensive and refused to admit the mistake and said said this is how fresh lime soda looks and tastes like. We didn't even enjoy the main course as there was not even one dish that was worth recommending. Finally, when we all ordered dessert, we ordered Kesar Pistachio Kulfi, we all were given Honey Fig Kulfi instead. Again the waiter said this is what is Kesar Pistachio kulfi even though we said it's does not taste like Kesar Pistachio. We asked him to check with Kitchen staff as the order is wrong and he disappeared, came back and directly asked if there is any thing else we would like. When my friend asked if he has investigated about the wrong order, he instead he very rudely asked, do you want to eat or not? When he refused, he angrily took it and went inside.
Without a remorse on his face, he came back and put the bill on the table and pretended as if nothing happened. We paid the bill and and we are never ever coming back here.
Verdict : Below average food, Very less portion for the price, food not fresh, RUDE, DISHONEST and ARROGANT staff, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Their motto: To hell with you but we will take your money too.
They can fool people about the food to people with other nationalities, but not Indians. We Indians know what good Indian food is. I guess this review might not ring a bell for the staff and I won't be surprised if more negative reviews about this place come up. They should stop fooling their customers especially local Australians.
There are better Indian restaurants in Adelaide and this one is...
Read moreIn many ways, the position of restaurant food commentator is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those chefs who offer up their cuisine and themselves to public judgment. We thrive on offering criticism, whether positive or negative which is fun to write and to read. But the real truth is we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things we would not have a clue how brilliant chefs go about the preparation of their foods on a consistent daily, weekly basis. A couple of days ago we experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from an Indian Restaurant in Unley. To say that both the meal and its chefs have challenged our preconceptions that only the Indian food served us at Bellagio's in Las Vegas was the best, is a gross understatement. Chef Harry and his team of chefs have rocked us to our core. In the past, I have avoided Indian food thinking we had already tasted the very best overseas and made no secret of it. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the chefs now cooking at The Chefs of Tandoori, Second Innings, who are, in this food commentators opinion, nothing less than the finest group of chef in Adelaide. My family and I will be returning to Harry's Indian Restaurant soon, hungry for more. Well done to Harry and the team of chefs. Kindest regards. Frank, Carol,...
