My friend and I found this place when we were looking for a meal before a show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. This is less than 2 minutes west of he entertainment centre. The outside looks simple and clean Inside has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. When we entered, the eatery was packed with diners and we thought we wouldn't get to eat, but some lovely staff found us a spot to have a meal. hey are obviously very experienced at feeding people before a show and were prepared with set pre-show dinner menus, either 2 course or 3 course. We chose the 2 course meals, my friend had the salmon starter followed by the beetroot salad, I had the salmon starter followed by the shoulder lamb. Oh the food was divine! The salmon starter was light, yet full of flavour. The salmon was cooked in thin slices, each cooked perfectly, sitting in a wonderfully flavoured sauce, topped with lightly grated mature cheese. My friend was just as impressed with her starter and her main. She didn't leave a thing in either dish, she said the beetroot salad was superb and she will be returning for more. Oh the lamb!! It was shaped onto a circle, sitting on a bean sauce, it looked like it might be hard, but my fork easily sunk into it. I have always found shoulder lamb hard to get right, but their chef is a genius, the lab was to tender and so sweet, cooked absolutely perfectly. Lamb is my favourite meat if it is cooked right and this was cooked by a chef who cares about his guests. I wish I had taken photos to share, because each plate was not just delicious, but presented attractively as well. I will return and I will bring others and I know that they will be just as delighted, I already have some guests in mind. All of the staff were lovely and super helpful. They were so super busy, moving quickly between tables, clearing and setting new tables without fuss, seeing that each guest had what they need, and...
Read moreI've walked past this place so many times, just thinking it was somewhere to pick up a quick lunch for the local office workers - oh how wrong was I.
We had heard good things, so we booked in for dinner following a Fringe show at Holden St Theatre. The menu isn't huge, but everything on it looked incredible and affordable, so we ordered all 5 dishes from the "smaller meal or appetiser" section of the menu to share.
I'm so glad we did, because it really was a delight to the taste buds. I haven't had food this good in a long long time. It honestly puts many big ticket restaurants to shame! The Halloumi was next level!!!
I should also mention the staff, the cocktails, the lighting, the...
Read moreWe booked in for the Chef’s Menu last week and were not disappointed. I had driven by a few times and always wanted to stop in. The food was creative and delicious. A great variety of food, one of the reasons I wanted to try the chef’s menu. The chef was very accommodating with our diets (one vego and one no seafood) and didn’t make my partner eat all vego just because there were sharing plates. Thank you. The staff were very friendly too. I am really looking forward to coming back here again. The experience was fantastic and quite classy (but, actually,...
