Dined here Friday night with friends. The service was practically non existent. Waited at least 30 minutes before order was taken and even then had to ask for waiter to come and take our orders. I had sweet and sour duck. The duck itself was well cooked and tender but the sauce was salty and like clag. Very unpleasant. The duck was served on a bed of chunky shredded raw cabbage. Yuk. I have had this dish many times at various restaurants and never experienced this. I had the sticky rice for dessert and this was also well below standard. This biggest problem with this restaurant was the staff. After finishing our meal the dishes were not collected. After approximately 30 minutes I called the waitress over and politely asked if the dishes could be removed before our coffee and dessert. She gave me the dirtiest look and through gritted teeth told me she would do it when she had time and walked away. I was absolutely gobsmacked by this response. The expression on her face was spine chilling and everyone at the table commented on it. The dishes were removed about 10 to 15 minutes later. The same glowering look was received when one of the others at the table asked for extra glasses (not enough were put on the table) and another bottle of water. Three of us ordered the vietnamese coffee and when it arrived it was not dripping as it should. Again asked the female waitress if there was a problem with the coffee as it was not dripping into the glass cup. She rudely said she had put too much coffee into the container and with that grabbed mine and dumped it into a dish and said that's all you will need because it is very strong and promptly walked away. The coffee was bitter and unpleasant. If she knew that there was too much coffee in the container she should have taken some put or remade the coffees. There were only 2 staff waiting tables and the restaurant was almost full. If there was a problem with lack of staff then it should be explained politely not the way we were treated. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I doubt any in our party will either. If you want a good dining experience eat somewhere else. This is probably the worst Asian restaurant I have ever dined in. When table was cleared before we left all of the bowls and chop sticks that were not used (even though we had handled them) were left on the table to re use. I am sure this is against health regulations especially...
Read moreThe worst experience Iâve had at a restaurant to date. My partnerâs birthday and I was abused by the owner because of their inedible prawn cocktail. We regularly order takeaway and occasionally dine at this restaurant and have never experienced an issue. This one though, wonât be forgotten. For someone dealing with PTSD and anxiety this has really shaken me up and changed my perspective on dining out. For my partners birthday we ordered the prawn cocktail and sweet corn soup. They made a mistake and gave us a bowl of prawn crackers instead. Politely asked for this to be fixed and after I had finished the sweet corn soup, the prawn cocktail finally came out. My partner had a bite and couldnât eat it. Reminded him that he should enjoy a meal on his birthday and they would be happy to fix. Requested a change of entree, or a cancellation. They said they couldnât do it. Wanted to speak with the nice lady out the front that I usually see when picking up takeaway and as Iâm explaining the issue to her, the owner buts in and aggressively points at me and says âIâve already spoken to youâ do not speak to our worker. She began to scream and yell and say things like ânever come back to my restaurantâ, âI donât need people like youâ, âI donât care itâs your partners birthdayâ and demanded we leave. After about 5 minutes of her abuse I asked to speak with someone else and this lady chased me around the restaurant with an eftpos machine. My partner was really upset since it is his birthday and he hates confrontation. The worst experience ever. Please read the reviews before dining here and consider the lovely Vietnamese restaurant just...
Read moreIf I could vote for no stars I would. I feel shocked and upset about the treatment I received from the person I am assuming is the owner on Saturday 5th June 2021:
The restaurant was very busy. It continued to fill up with customers after our 6:00pm arrival. It took a while for our order to be taken and our soup starters to arrive. The wait staff member who cleared our soup bowls asked whether we would like our main meals. I smiled and said, âYes, please.â Forty minutes later the main meals hadnât arrived. We noticed tables that had ordered starters and mains after ours had been served and had consumed their food - we were still waiting. I went to the front desk and asked the owner about our main order. I was respectful and calm, simply trying to ascertain what had happened. Mid-sentence, she turned her back on me and went into the kitchen. Two minutes later she came to our table to say âour order takes longer to prepare and that we had our soup so we should be prepared to waitâ. Her manner was rude and aggressive. I wanted to settle the bill and leave, but our group was hungry. Five minutes later she slammed my omelette and cutlery in front of me, reiterating that I had consumed my soup so I should have been prepared to wait for my main meal. When my husband went to pay the bill, the owner said that âif we werenât prepared to wait in the future, we shouldnât come come back to the restaurantâ...There was no acknowledgement that our mains order had been misplaced or hint of an apology of any description, just an angry, belligerent response.
We shall take the advice and take our...
