Sushi Hub Hallett Cove — Restaurant in Adelaide

Really disappointed with how badly the quality has dropped within the last 16 months. I've ordered sushi twice since July 2023, and both times I've felt unimpressed and physically terrible after eating what I've purchased. The rice isn't completely cooked; it's gummy, hard and sits heavy in my stomach. It's difficult to chew and has no seasoning. The fillings are worse than when they first opened here. The spicy tuna roll is just a regular tuna roll now! No difference in taste at all, and the rolls are more rice than filling! They used to offer a free Green Tea or Miso Soup if you made a purchase over $20. Now? You don't get that offer. The tea would have helped my poor stomach after the "sushi" I ate :( Really disappointed in the drop of quality. Thank goodness my local sushi place has reopened after renovations. I'd happily never eat sushi again if this store was all I had available...

Staff are generally rude. Not great variety for vegetarians compared to other places. They charged me more for my sushi than it said on the ticket and when I questioned it, the woman seemed to have no idea what I was taking about. I tried politely 3 times but she just threw the sushi on the counter and asked another person to deal with me (there was only 1 customer behind me, they were not busy) this 2nd girl was lovely and professional. The manager came over raised his voice saying the prices had changed but the tickets hadn't changed yet, I had to pay the new price. I thought this was dishonest and rude. Not my first negative experience with sushi hub...

Pretty solid. I get disappointed when my roll looks full of chicken at the top, flip that bad boy over to find he's looking very sad at the other end. Funnily enough it's always the full end presented upwards in the window. Always fresh and pretty tasty. Reasonably priced at ~$3.20 per Moki roll. If the rolls were always consistent all the way through i.e. full all the way through I'd give a 5. I will write another review soon with photos.
