Have ordered here a few times but last night will be the last. Ordered a birthday dinner for the family. Debated whether to pick up or delivery but decided to get delivered so we could relax. Ordered, (was told 45 mins approx when order was placed, which was totally fine) rang over an hour later to get an ETA on where our dinner was, to be told driver had just left, pizza rocked up almost an hour and a half after I placed order, kids were ready for bed we had just given them a plate of stuff out fridge for dinner instead to settle them. Had already done birthday cake in process of waiting for dinner. Ordered a bottle of Pepsi Max in meal deal and ordered an extra bottle of Pepsi Max so we all could have a drink, I was given 1 bottle of full sugar Coke on delivery but still got charged for the extra non existent bottle of Pepsi Max. Full sugar Coke gives me horrible reflux so it was tipped out as no one else in my household drinks it either. Delivery driver was rude, he tried to justify the extra charge and even said "look the extra charge it's for extra bottle of Pepsi Max", and I replied "mate you given me 1 bottle of full sugar Coke, there is no Pepsi Max or extra bottle of Pepsi Max and your still charging me for an extra bottle of drink you don't have and you brought the wrong drink anyway?". This could not be answered by the confused delivery driver, still charged me for "extra item". I immediately rang the store and was told was speaking to store manager, he was as helpful as delivery driver. In short manager had no fix without me having to drive to store, delivery driver brought wrong items and still charged for extra items that he did not have and tried to act like it was fine to charge for items he did not have, I was probably a bit blunt but after waiting for that long and then for order to be wrong and getting over charged I was a bit over it. Should have just got some cheap Domino's pizza, will do next time. You just can't charge customers for stuff and not bring it and then ask customer to drive to store to fix problem as a solution, how bout you send your driver back in his car and deliver the items ordered and payed for, don't ask the paying customer to then drive down and fix your mistake, there are so many pizza places in the surrounding area of Port Adelaide and the peninsula. We will go elsewhere in future. After all this the Pizza itself was pretty average, soggy (seems it may have gone on a long journey for the time it took to get here) and put a dampner on my Birthday dinner. Really should have been able to rectify this issue very easily but seems it was just left in the to hard basket. Thanks for blattently ripping us off...
Read moreI placed an order online which was due for pick-up at a set time. I arrived a little early, and staff confirmed my name and said my order would be out shortly. However, ten minutes later—at my scheduled pickup time—they asked my name again and claimed they couldn’t find my order. They suggested I may have ordered from a different store, and only after I showed my confirmation did they go back and eventually locate the order slip. I was then told it would be another 15 minutes wait—on top of the 25 minutes I had already waited since placing the order.
I asked politely if the pizza could be upgraded to a larger size as a goodwill gesture for the delay, and was told "no." When I asked why, the staff member responded with "because I can't do that." I then asked what could be done as an apology for the extended wait, and was met with sarcasm: "I am so sorry, can I go make your food now?" I replied, "yes please, I've got kids waiting to be fed," and he rolled his eyes before walking away.
This experience was disappointing—not only due to the delay but also the dismissive and unprofessional attitude of the staff. I understand that mistakes happen, but I would expect a basic level of courtesy and some form of acknowledgement when a customer is significantly...
Read moreI'm a bit hesitant about reviewing fast food stores as most are always hit and miss but over the years I have ordered from Valentinos Port Adelaide on multiple occasions and sure sometimes if its delivery its been a bit slow but thats something I can happily accept knowing I've never been disappointed with their food. Their pizzas are great and I don't eat much pizza so that means something good! But I LOVVVVEE their wedges, wedges aren't health beneficial in the slightest and I always try to keep that in mind but if we're going to Valentinos we're getting wedges. Like they're just potato I don't know what these guys do but they make them the best potato I've ever had. 🤣 Their prices are slightly higher than normal I find but like I've said I've not been disappointed so I will happily pay a bit extra. They're location is convenient, plenty of parking and right under a train station if rely on public transport. Cosy little layout with friendly team. Will continue to use them whenever we're in a pizza mood. Will continue to suggest them to new locals and anyone else in general who mentions...
