Great Museum. Kids love it. Good experience.
At First, we didn't plan to go after we went to the Train Museum. They said that we could get some discounts if visiting adjacent museums, such as Aviation Museum before we finished Train museum. For family with 2 kids, it is great budget when we are traveling other state to have something to see something new.
I agreed with other people's comments. The location is a bit hard to find. Perhaps, The Google maps probably didn't direct us. Google may need to correct it.
When we saw the entry of the museum (look a bit old and small), we won't think that it is any special about this inside.
Once we paid and stepped in the first exhibition, it was Wow for us. We did not expect so many aircrafts displayed. All aircraft are clean. Also, we can touch them and sit in the air crafts to experience them. Basically, we went inside every aircraft if open.
Also, they have 3-4 little planes for under 5 year ago kids to sit on while they are visiting. Our kids loved it. For us, we can also enjoy the whole exhibition while we don't need to carry the kids for the whole time. It is very kid friendly.
Our kids got some little toy planes before we left. It was just less than $5 for 6 colourful planes. What's a budget.
We would strongly...
Read moreI have made several visits to this museum in the past with 2 of my grandchildren and it has been a good experience and day out. The kids really enjoyed being able to board some of the aircraft, sit in the seats and look into the cockpits and imagining what it would have been like to fly in them and endure some of the hardships the crew experienced. Unfortunately access has been blocked off to these areas which, at first, I surmised was a covid precaution but that is not the reason. You can now enter those areas only if you pay an extra $15 on top of the admission fee. I guess that price is ok for an adult aviation enthusiast but for a child who just wants to sit in the pilot's seat for a minute or two at most it seems excessive and surely it is children we should be encouraging to visit these places. The museum has some great exhibits there if you're into planes and the staff are volunteers I imagine so kudos to them, but I can't see that it will hold kid's interest without the interactive aspect so, unfortunately, I can't see myself visiting again which is disappointing for me...
