Horrible horrible customer service. Arrived at the shop around 9pm last night to get my dinner. As I walked in there were three workers at the station. One was servicing a man making something and the other two were two young females. As I walked in I was given nasty looks by all of them and wasn’t even greeted with a “hey sorry won’t be a moment be with you soon” or anything of the sort just nasty nasty looks. I waited for for a while thinking maybe they’re just busy I will wait. And wait. And wait. And I was continued to be ignored. I was so confused and I walked out the shop to see if anything else around was open to get food from because I was being straight up ignored by your staff. I walked back in to think well just give it another go maybe they’re not busy anymore. Walked back in and was greeted with the exact same nasty looks and the two young girls looked at eachother and snickered to eachother like I was such an inconvenience to them being there 2 hours before the store closed? People may have bad days but you separate that from work. I could’ve been in out and gone if I was just greeted and served when I first got there and they could’ve been back to slacking off in no time. This is my local and I’ll never be going back here and neither will anyone that I’ve told this...
Read moreThe food was good but the dark haired girl who served me needs to learn not to rush customers through their order. I've eaten Zambreros before but I am by no means a regular and am therefore not familiar with the menu options and ordering process. As soon as I walked in the door she was asking me what I wanted without giving me a chance to read the menu board. She was speaking so quickly at each step that I had to ask her to repeat herself so I could understand. For example, "Cheese or sour cream?", but imagine it said really quickly. I understand that she probably does this a hundred times a day, but I don't! At the end she asked me if I wanted sauce and I asked what my choices were. She wasn't rude but she just said, "There's a list of choices above my head" as if I should have known that. How am I supposed to know that when you haven't given me a chance to read the menu board? All I'm saying is slow down and consider that not every customer has come there knowing exactly what they want and knows the Zambreros menu inside out. There are more Mexican food choices around town now. Don't give people a reason to...
Read moreRight now there's only one staff member serving with one on her break, the other one cleaning out the back. I had to ask one staff member is there anyone else working? It still took another 5 minutes to stop washing dishes... Meanwhile 10 people waiting for service. When I asked why they weren't serving one female staff member said "we've still got all of our cleaning to do before we can close". What?! Since when does cleaning trump serving waiting customers? Terrible, these staff need retraining, or decent supervision or more reasonable expectations on how long they need to clean and pack up after closing. I'm a long time customer (10 years)...no more. Update: I did get an apology for the wait as I paid, but as I said to the staff member who served me, a bit of communication goes a long way. My first manager at Woolies told me you need to acknowledge each customer as they come in if they need to wait, apologise and explain if a staff member can't come out and serve for a few minutes... it's not that difficult! Maybe some time spent working at the Woolies service deli next door like I did would do...
