With the assistance of the ancient God Zeus, I have came up with a deep critical review...
Bang for buck on size ✅ Not overcooked or over salty like some Greek people’s charcoal cooking tendencies ✅ Efficient service ✅
On the same token, the meat was a little lacking salt in my humble opinion after a one off try, but it’s better to be lacking salt than over salted both for health and taste, the meat could perhaps do with a tiny tad more oregano.
For a long term business plan, the effort made to have on site or home made tzatziki as standard instead of bottled garlic sauce would be better, served with on-site made fresh daily pita bread closer to the proper Greek way, if this critique listened to, Zeus in Prospect might then be up there with the best yiros in the world, even better than the average yiros in Greece, but, in January 2021, it isn’t yet. The guy who served us lacked customer service, not even a greeting when we walked inside the establishment.
The lamb was 80% fat and very chewy with lack of flavour. The salad tasted like syrup and a I was sad that the Greek salad didn’t have any feta cheese. Which is usual for a Greek salad lol.
The chicken yiros was pretty good not chewy and not too much fat in it but lacked flavour pretty certain there was no garlic sauce in my yiros.
The chips were undercooked and was hard in the middle. The garlic sauce with the chips tasted like sour cream was expecting more of a garlic flavour.
Save your money we won’t be...
