My youngest found this place a week ago , and told me I had to come because they had gluten free cannolis . Upon walking in, my friend and I were greeted with a smile . It has a few tables and bar seats with a lovely view of the park across the road . I looked at the gluten free options , and asked if I could get a limoncello one , and happily they said yes . So I ordered that with an almond latte. The cannoli was freshly piped , and they order the gf cannolis from a celiac certified kitchen , so that was a lovely surprise. The gf cannoli had a great crunch , the filling tasted of limoncello but the flavour was not overpowering The coffee was from Charlie Black Coffee Co - it was quite dark with fruity notes and the milk was steamed well - a perfect accompaniment to Italian pastries . They also have some lunch options if people get hungry , or if you want something savoury before you eat sweets . The person behind the counter was very happy to chat , and said that the cafe was opened at the end of 2020, during the pandemic. He was also able to point out a few more gf options in the glass cabinet in case I wanted something other than cannolis. I also ordered a few of the other cannolis for my kids to take away - my youngest was extremely satisfied with their Oreo one . So all in all , a great place with friendly vibes...
Read moreI popped in for morning coffee and cannoli. I bought 2 more which were placed in a box to take home and share with my partner. The coffee was weak and the cannoli was acceptable. Later in the afternoon at home, I got the other cannoli out to eat. I hadn't seen the contents till then. What I got was not fresh nor of good quality. The cream filling was old and stale and had "dried out" and had slightly pulled away from the cannoli shell. The shell itself was cracked from end to end. Hugely disappointing! The cannoli was creamy but tasted bland and the thick shell just crumbled away as it wasn't fresh. I won't be back. There are many other places that serve better...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at The Cannoli Box Co. in Prospect today. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment I walked in. The coffee was rich and perfectly made, and the cannoli—crisp on the outside, filled with luscious, traditional ricotta cream—was among the best I’ve had in Adelaide. The selection of petit gateau was also impressive, both in flavour and presentation.
As a lover of Italian sweets, I’d love to see the talented chef introduce traditional Panettone to the menu—especially around the festive season. It would be a perfect complement to their already excellent cannoli and pastry selection. Highly...
