This was our first time at this cafe and I have mixed feelings about it.
Pros
Coffee and cakes were very nice and they were complimented by a warm and cosy atmosphere. The cafe was aesthetically pleasing with an organic/vegan vibe.
Cons
Staff were awkward and difficult to communicate with. I found we were not welcomed or greeted when we first arrived. I also feel the staff were more concerned with socialising amongst themselves. Whilst waiting to order on two occasions, two staff members were communicating past me (at counter) and the other time they were all grouped up at back looking at their phones. Whilst I was trying to return the used dishes.
Final note
Got to take a free bucket home which will come in handy somewhere around the house.
I’d like to see this business thrive, so I encourage the owner to have a conversation to their staff about the importance of customer service and not using phones during working.

Read moreI'm so glad I made the long walk up to GROW in Anglesea, despite having been walking most of the morning down by the river and shore. This is a really unique eatery! And shop with interesting things to buy. And great place to browse. It can be hard to get healthy meals in Anglesea, especially if you want 'real' veggies, not just chips and slaw. GROW does healthy, all the way. I had the great roast veggie salad and an iced matcha. Really enjoyed both. (And left with a matcha cookie for afternoon tea). There is a nice outdoor space, but I chose indoor at one of the 'communal' tables. The staff are cruisy and pleasant. Eating here was more of a total experience, rather than just a place to grab a...
Read moreA hidden gem of a cafe in Anglesea. Great veggie food using local produce, friendly staff, a chilled out vibe plus some excellent social initiatives like selling carefully curated pre-loved clothes and accessories (with part profits going towards meaningful charities). There’s also a bulk food grocery section and some local art maker items for sale too. Can recommend the scramble tofu wrap and a turmeric latte made on oat milk. The space is also available for hire for events and workshops and they have regular live music too. I wish this lovely business every success and will definitely return when I’m next...
