I was contemplating to even enter the shop thinking the food may not taste good but I was absolutely wrong as the meals were really good. We ordered seafood hot pot and green curry chicken, trust me, I was blown away. Tye chef is a Chinese but he cooks Thai food without compromising its authenticity. Loved the spices and definitely the services. The waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. A must go. Please try their signature fish tofu. The place has now be listed on our must go restaurants.

Good Thai in Armidale is not a thing, both places are average at best. Thai home did have a good pedigree, however it hasn’t been updated in years and everything is worn and dated. Food was woeful. Slow, staggered and not authentic in the slightest. When discussed with wait staff, they explained that “people either love it or hate it”. As locals, we strongly advise you to choose another cuisine for dinner in Armidale.

Takeaway. Waited 30 minutes and here is what we got. Jungle curry which is basically chicken in boiled water. I have been living for 25 years and I have never seen a curry can be that watery, it was leaking inside the plastic bag! Pad see ew with noodles sticking together and uneven/un mixed source. DESERT: S W E E T Tom yum soup That’s right. Sweet. Not sour or spicy. 10/10 recommended 👎👎👎👎👎👎

Title: A Culinary Delight at Thai Home: Chef Pat and Manager Luke Make Dining a True Experience

My recent visit to Thai Home was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the combined efforts of Manager Luke and Chef Pat. Their commitment to providing an unforgettable dining experience truly set Thai Home apart.

Manager Luke's warm welcome and attentive service immediately made us feel at home. From guiding us to our table to ensuring our comfort throughout the meal, Luke's attention to detail was impeccable. His genuine passion for hospitality shone through as he engaged us in friendly conversation and expertly managed the bustling restaurant with ease.

However, it was Chef Pat's culinary mastery that truly stole the show. Every dish that emerged from his kitchen was a work of art, bursting with vibrant flavors and expertly balanced spices. From traditional favorites to innovative creations, Chef Pat's dishes showcased the rich tapestry of Thai cuisine with finesse.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Chef Pat's entree creations. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the fragrant aromas of the Pad Thai to the rich complexity of the Panang Curry, every bite was a symphony of taste sensations that left us craving more.

Manager Luke and Chef Pat's seamless collaboration ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Luke's attentive service complemented Chef Pat's culinary expertise, creating an atmosphere where guests felt valued and well cared for.

In addition to their outstanding individual contributions, Luke and Chef Pat's teamwork was evident throughout the evening. Their mutual respect and dedication to their craft were palpable, creating a harmonious dining experience that left a lasting impression.

Overall, my experience at Thai Home was a true delight, thanks to the exceptional service of Manager Luke and the culinary brilliance of Chef Pat. I highly recommend Thai Home to anyone seeking an authentic Thai dining experience, and I look forward to returning soon to savor more of Chef Pat's delectable creations under Luke's...

I know the owner answers to all low-star comments unprofessionally, rudely and is not able to convert negative comments to something constructive and to improve the bad sides of his business, so please you are welcome to answer to this comment as rude as you want, you will just make your business look even worse ✌🏻

This place used to be VERY good. In the past, it used to be quick and kind service, tasty food, big portions and awesome prices.

Then in the last few months, everything decayed.

Staff so young with no experience, that they do not acknowledge customers, do not smile, do not deliver good service, they do not answer questions. NO ONE in the business wearing a uniform. Thai home should teach them basics of hospitality, and provide a uniform or dress code. It will look way more elegant and professional.

Service very slow, and they accept orders even if they are so busy that they can't keep up with all orders, just because the owner wants to make more money, instead of being honest and tell customers there is a 2 or more hours waiting. Next time be honest instead of lying, so we appreciate more the honesty and do not complain.

Quality of food? Worsen as well. Few last times happened that the rice was overcooked, like it was no freshly made, raw vegetables when they were supposed to bee cooked, meat did not taste fresh but dry and chewy.

TAKE THESE COMMENTS TO IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS INSTEAD OF ATTACKING ALL THE CUSTOMERS BACK WITH...

Food took forever, paid and left before all the food arrived because we couldn’t stick around forever.

Food was horrible, every dish was disappointing, we were happy to leave before the last dish came out and didn’t wanna meet it.

Some food was raw, some meat was tough, and they are hardcore stingy on the sauces. Less than 2 tablespoons of satay sauce for 5 skewers.

The wait times between dishes was above 30 mins. We ordered everything at the same time and an entree came out after a long period of time, then another entree after 20 mins, then a beef fried rice came out which was meant to be vegeterian (but we made no fuss and ate it), then after 30+ mins they brought out a bowl of something that was meant to be massaman curry and we were all staring at it getting cold. We had nothing to eat it with for 20 mins(we had ordered plain rice). Had to follow up before they did something (there was a line of follow ups and overheard an Uber driver waiting for an order for over an hour to wait longer. Plain rice came out, ate the massaman, then they brought out the vegetarian fried rice (turned out they gave us someone else’s order previously), decided to get up and go as food was terrible and just taking way too long… maybe like this review, sorry.

Staff were not rude, but inexperienced and all over the place. If we read reviews here we would of avoided completely. I feel bad for saying it, but very bad experience that ruined the night. Wife...
