Cedar Lodge Motel — Hotel in Armidale

It's not Sydney and it isn't Brisbane so I don't expect 'wildlife' to scurry across the desk when its being used, and it wasn't just one. If you are travelling for business, or need an internet connection when you are travelling that is reliable, easy to connect to, and doesn't drop out then stay somewhere else you won't find it here. I was in an upstairs room very close to the front office and had REAL problems with the wifi. It can best be described as unreliable and slow. The rooms need some attention. Especially the bathroom. After returning from dinner my wife decided to have a shower and wash her hair. The wall dispenser for soap(?) next to the vanity didn't work. Multiple pushes on the dispenser button produced nothing but a minor dribble some minutes later. The labels on the dispensers in the shower were so faded and washed out that it was almost impossible to determine what they were. There was also a small bottle of something on the window sill that had no label so no idea what it was. So after washing her VERY long, and VERY thick hair at 11pm she couldn't get the hair dryer to work. VERY annoying! Overall it was the attention to detail that was missing. Stayed here in a deluxe room 3 on the ground floor. didn't want to go up and down the steps.||Easy check in and parking out the front of unit although would be a little tight for 3 big cars to fit in the area provided.||The room we had had a comfy Queen size bed and a single bed with bedside lights above the bed.||Tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits, microwave and fresh milk provided.||A/C and a microwave plus a large mirror in the main room.||Cupboard for hanging clothes,bench near TV for placing suitcases on and also near fridge. Stayed 2 nights. Good clean room with a lot of space. Had all the amenities that we required. Pretty quiet considering that the Motel is on the main highway. |The parking in front of one's room is super tight and rather small considering the size of vehicles these days. Good friendly staff.|The area that the Motel is located isn't the best as the park nearby has the largest collection of shopping trolleys one would find outside a major supermarket.
