I visited the place for dinner on 15 February around 6.45pm. When it came time to settle the bill, the young short woman at the counter presented the bill and insisted that I confirm and proceed with the payment straight away. I noticed a surcharge of 1.6% and recalled that under Australian consumer law, businesses are only permitted to charge a surcharge that reflects the actual cost of processing the payment; anything beyond that is illegal. I inquired whether there was a surcharge for using a debit card and showed her my card. She didn't even glance at it and just keep forcing me to click and pay. When I clarified that it was a debit card, she remained silent, leaving me uncertain if she understood English, i then asked the 2nd time and to my surprise she bluntly raise her voice and just said YES in a loud voice without even looking at my card while rolling her eyes and smirking, displaying a rude demeanor. This behavior is completely unacceptable for a someone in the service industry as she exhibited impatience and rudeness, she may be better working in the karaoke bar instead. This an update review for the new owners, and any customers. We were regular customers, of previous owner, but now unsure of new owners "style" First of all we visited here on 2 separate occasions over the last week. First time when ordering and paying by tap and go, finding out that there is now a surcharge added to the bill. So second visit, decided to insert card in machine and insert pin number......still a surcharge added to bill. We ordered ciabata toast with jam, what came was 2 very small pieces of ciabata, then the waitress brought a jar of jam and a jar of peanut butter to the table! No individual servings, but the jars were obviously well used by many customers previously and not very hygienic.I did ask if they had small individual servings, but was told no just these. They were what I would call " family size jar of jam etc" So we decided not to use what had been provided. All in all, a very unpleasant visit, so we will go elsewhere, future customers be aware of the surcharge, If you are happy to pay it,...

We had a very disappointing experience over the weekend. We went for lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. They took approximately 30 minutes to make 3 simple meals - 2 x fish and chips and a beef burger and chips and toast a pre-made wrap out of the cabinet. After asking the staff who were standing there laughing and chatting how much longer the food will take, one girl hurried off in to the kitchen to check. The burger and fish and chips came out shortly after. Then 5 minutes later the wrap comes out and I open it up and it was the wrong wrap. Go in to ask the staff and the waiter tried to tell me that the breakfast wrap with egg and bacon was a chicken and pesto wrap which I ordered…. The chef made me a new one but everyone else had finished therefore had to take the wrap for take away. When I ate it shortly after, it was crazy spicy. Not a nice spice but a toxic heat!
