The Neighbourhood Kitchen and Coffee â A Brunch Done Right
Perched on a prime corner, The Neighbourhood Kitchen and Coffee offers a welcoming, cozy atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Aesthetic? Spot on. But the real questionâdoes the food live up to it?
Drinks â A Strong Start
We started with a cappuccino and an iced mocha. The cappuccino was smooth, rich, and perfectly foamedâno bitterness, no weak spots. The iced mocha? A perfect balance of coffee and chocolate, velvety smooth without being overly sweet. Off to a great start.
Food â Flavour, Execution, and Those Potatoes
Pulled Pork Hash
The pulled pork was cooked beautifullyâtender, full of flavor, and not drowning in sauce. But the real star? Lemon herb salted crispy potatoesâgolden, crunchy perfection. Paired with poached eggs, chimichurri, and Parmesan, this dish was bold, balanced, and incredibly satisfying.
The Neighbourly Breakfast
A classic big breakfast can be a test of execution, and this one passed with flying colors. The toast was crisp, the bacon smoky and well-cooked, and the scrambled eggs fluffy and buttery. And againâthose crispy potatoes stole the show.
Service â The Game Changer
Food aside, the best part? Andi, our server. Attentive without hovering, warm, and genuinely invested in making our experience great. An absolute asset to the team.
Final Verdict â A Must-Visit
With expertly brewed coffee, top-tier brunch dishes, and standout service, The Neighbourhood Kitchen and Coffee is a winner. A solid 9/10, with those crispy potatoes alone nearly pushing it to a 10. If youâre after a quality brunch spot, this is the place to be. Highly...

Four of us dined here for lunch on Monday 31st May 2021. They did not appear to be busy, however we waited 50 mins to be eventually served, after a prompt, thinking they had forgotten us.
The meals comprised chicken tacos, macha pancakes, a burger and a meal which included chorizo. The tacos were dry and sparse with warm chicken served with cold dressing and cold wraps. The chorizo was luke- warm, served whole, slightly cooked on the outside and uncooked in the middle. We asked if the chorizo could be sliced and cooked a little more, however by the time the chorizo was eventually returned, we had all almost finished our meals. The burger and macha pancakes were also very ordinary.
Not sure if, being a Monday, the regular chef was not on duty, however we would never take the risk and frequent this...
Read moreUpon initial impression it had a good vibe to it, down to earth, friendly and bustling with energy. It was everything after that that spoiled what could have become a regular cafe for me.
When approaching the counter they asked me if I was dining in and that they had table service. What A Joke. If table service is waiting 10 minutes at a table when all I wanted was something from the display case, then yes I would agree. Instead I get up, go to the counter and decide I'm too fed up to eat here and so got the wrap to take away.
When hearing the options for chicken or vegetarian it turned out that the chicken one in the window was inaccurate, that with allergies I have to be careful to have the chicken wrap I received not be the one listed is a gross oversight.
I don't...
