5 stars just for the food, it is great value and honestly delicious and authentic. $5 for a personal hotpot with 2x different soup flavours, unlimited soup refills. The mushroom base soup comes with a generous amount of mushrooms! The spicy Szechuan base has a cute little molded spicy beef fat. $2pp for mixing your own dipping sauce from an authentic selection. Handmade noodles are perfectly made and retain their bite when cooked, more than enough for 2 people, highly recommend. Meat was a bit pricey at $10 a tray, but the quality was excellent.

Only complaint is the entire setup is super confusing and staff will not explain what's going on, or what you need to do. Expect minimal English, and no mercy. If it's your first time visiting, I'd highly recommend coming with a Chinese friend who knows what to do. In order to get the mini hot pot, you actually need to go to a different section of the restaurant... And then you'll need to make the trek back around to get your own cutlery and water. There's also a "soup button" to press in order to get your soup topped up when it's boiling low, and when pressed a staff member will at some point arrive with a giant kettle of soup to top you up and then wordlessly leave. Strange but efficient.

In the main section of the restaurant, there is a self-service section of all the ingredients you can order from the tablet menu, but it appears to be a different pricing system where you get charged by weight instead of by dish. Tried to ask how it works, but didn't really get an answer.

Overall very tasty but extremely confusing setup if it's your first time, and indifferent staff. Update: Last time we came for lunch with 2x people and were able to get mini hotpot, but recently were turned away for dinner with 3 people - apparently you need to book an entire room for mini hotpot, and you need more than 3 to book a room. Not sure how many...

If you’re Australian don’t bother going here. The food was bussin but if you’ve never been to hot pot the staff here expect you to know what you’re doing and give you 0 help. Came here with my partner last night and was asking for help on how to order to do the hot pot where we cook it ourselves and the staff were no help at all. We sat down and by the end of ordering we had no idea what we ordered because they just didn’t tell us anything. It came out and sure enough we had ordered wrong. We did tell them we have never done this before and they just did not care. Plus the entire time we were sat down every person in there was staring at us judging tf out of us but we were the only Australians in there. Also no idea what this red juice was they served us we had no idea what we ordered but it...

Ordered through an app, received a notification the order is completed and waiting to be picked up, only when I showed up at the resturant the lady said they didn’t receive my order despite the fact that I showed her the order number from the app. Then I was told to contact their customer service to sort it out on my own. Ended up paying again in the store and waited extra 20 mins for my food. No compensation given whatsoever for their broken system, gave me a free can drink which I didn’t care about and that was it. Imagine I showed up to pick up my order without bringing my wallet assuming I had paid through the app already. How are you guys asking customers to contact the app customer service when the fault...

Sze chuan pig ears = 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Huge serving (2-3pax), great texture and taste. Our favorite! Shrimp wonton= 🌟🌟 - Texture of shrimp is really small. Like paste/ minced which we didn't like. Nicely fried. Great that they use kewpie for dip but could be better. Malatang bowl = 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Nice choices of meat and balls. It was a hit and miss but mostly good. (Fortune bag was our fave) Hygiene= 🌟 - needs great improvement. Oily cups and cutlery still with some food left to use. We opt to use the takeout spoon and chopsticks but didn't had a choice with the cups. Service= 🌟🌟🌟 It was quick but not so friendly specially the servers. The guy behind the counter was really nice and very helpful.

If you really want to hotpot and all other place are full and you can't be bother to wait then you come to the right place. Don't get me wrong, the broth was great, they have a good selection of meat n veggies but don't expect much of a service here, you pretty much left to your own. If you don't really want to eat the shared hotpot, you can choose your own ingredients and they will cook it for you and served it with a really big bowl. And as with other similar place, you have to pay extra for sauce, on the plus side, the selection of chili, sauce, and other herbs are quiet good.
