A really nice place to visit and see a bit of colonial history. It's great to see how well the house and the grounds are cared for. We visited on a day when a vintage car club went down after a cruise finished there. The things inside the house are well cared for, and there's lots of clearly important antique items. So much so that it actually looks a bit crowded, like there's too much stuff in each room, and it feels like you're just looking at a bunch of old stuff with little to no information provided about each item or how it's relevant to the estate or the people who lived here. I think if they had less things, and some plaques to actually tell the story of the people who lived here, it would provide a much more meaningful picture of what life was like here when this beautiful estate was functional. All in all it's a clearly significant site for the city of Canning, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a free outing. Especially if you're living in Canning.

A lovely property built in the early days of WA's history. This was the annual open day to which the Handweavers Spinners and Dyers Guild were invited. We spent a pleasant day spinning on the verandah and talking to visitors. A couple of us did the house tour and had a general look around. Beautiful gardens.

Witnessed an amazing wedding here. A picture perfect location in the most unlikely place. Perfect place for anyone wanting to tie the knot. The gardens are beautiful and make a good place for photos afterwards.

We had an amazing experience at woodloes recently for our wedding. The church and the gardens were perfect. So cute and amazingly tucked away in Cannington. The place is run by volunteers who truly go above and beyond to make the experience memorable. Special shout out to Paola for communicating with us and accommodating our requests, to Sarah for agreeing to our rehearsal very last minute and showing up to open the venue, and to Lori for being there on the day and helping out with a bunch of last minute requests. We had our wedding in Winter and it was really beautiful. The church can fit about 50-60 and the gardens are perfect for photos afterwards. Thanks...

Have tried many times to email, call, and even turn up to be able to book a wedding ceremony there. To no avail I never hear any or they are never open when their website says they should be. Sadly I have given up and will take my business elsewhere. Such a shame really but the complete rudeness and lack of communication is just...
