We haven't been to a bad restaurant for a while and this place gotta take the cake 😒. We never leave food but had to because everything was too salty and nothing tasted good. The owner seemed friendly at first, until she asked for feedback and it led to a strange conversation. When we told her everything was too salty, she insisted it "wasn't salty, just flavourful". We explained there was a difference between flavours and overly salty, she kept saying it's not salt, but fish sauce 🤦‍♀️. Well yes, same same 😂. And then she suggested us go to Thai Orchid on Beaufort St next time if we wanted something sweeter, we said no, we didn't want something sweeter, just well-balanced food 😅. Genuinely don't understand why people would ask for feedback and then wouldn't be open to it when you told them. And not like the food was cheap 😑.

Not sure what their jungle curry recipe was but it was nothing like what we'd ever seen or tasted. It was overloaded with curry paste, which wasn't cooked down enough so you could still taste the raw spices. And this was a salty start to the night. Ginger fried fish stir-fried with tamarind sauce had more salt than tamarind or ginger. Fish pieces wasn't freshly fried so they weren't crunchy, just a soggy mess. The cooking was also lazy, with some pieces left dry, not covered by any sauce.

Seafood larb was probably the most pleasant dish, although scallops and mussels were over-cooked and rubbery. Flavours were okay, but needed way more fresh herbs to balance out the heavy sauce. Pad Thai was salty and soggy, with barely any prawns or freshness. We left most of it 😬. We ordered a tom kha but came out probably more like a salty tom yum with coconut milk. We couldn't be bothered sending it back because figured it couldn't possibly be that...

Saw good reviews so i thought I’d give it a go. When I got in the smell was a little weird even though i was wearing a mask. While I waited I heard 2 huge sneezes from the kitchen area. Not cool, but I’m waay too hungry. Someone just picked up a huge order and I thought we’ll can’t be that bad. Also I was too hungry to change my mind. The lady at the counter was lovely. When I got into my car it smelt even weirder and when I got home all my housemates asked me what the weird smell of old sausage is about. Got me concerned cause I only bought chicken. I had Pandan chicken as entree and Cambodian How Mok as main. Thé entre was chicken wrapped into some kind of leaf which was black and yucki. I tried it and it was just chicken without any particular taste not worth 10$ ( 4 small pieces of plain chicken) Furthermore, the main was absolute terrible!! I was starving and could barely finish 2 spoons. Totally blunt, no flavour at all with a hint of something not edible. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Even the rice was just sad. I binned the whole lot - 35$ - and I absolutely hate throwing food into the bin, but I wouldn’t dare to offer that to anyone. Unfortunately I didn’t take photos, it looked...

Food is quite nice but a couple of things I didn't like. Firstly there is no music so very awkward when it's just us(2 of us) and another table. Second, we ordered a side of rice (for 2) for our curry and she ordered too much and when I asked why there was so much rice, she said she ordered for 4 and said 2 wouldn't have been enough! Then, when I went to pay the bill with cash, she scribbled some amounts behind the counter and said it was $110. For two people, that seemed like a lot. I asked to see the bill, but she said cash "you don't get bill." We paid and left. Dodgy and...

Family owned cosy and warm. The lady that runs the show is such a mum, she's so welcoming. Other reviews say there was a long wait, and I can see that happening as they're running the joint on a very small crew. Yes, they're expensive. (almost $20 for Kailan!), but they're good. Tom yum was great. We ordered pad Thai and chilli chicken. The pad thai was really good and potions were pretty large. Chilli chicken was also really good. We also got a sizzling seafood platter which was excellent. The squid was a bit tough but the rest of the platter and sauce was great.

We took away our dine in order because my husband tried to use the toilet at the restaurant and it was filthy. He got a glimpse of the kitchen and it was no better. And then when I start eating my food at home, I found a bug there. Totally grossed out! As well, when we were sitting in the restaurant the owner kept yelling at the staff from across the dining area to the kitchen like there is no one in the restaurant. Never going back!
