The McDonald's in Bega stands out as an exceptional example of the franchise, a delightful surprise in a chain that often faces criticism. This particular location deserves a five-star rating for its commendable standards.

One of the highlights of my visit was the ability to customise a cheeseburger with extra ketchup, mustard, slivered onions, and especially, maximum pickles. The staff here listened attentively and delivered exactly as requested, with plenty of pickles, showcasing their commitment to customer service and attention to detail.

The parking lot at this McDonald's is well-sized and convenient, although the entry and exit layout can be a bit confusing. However, this seems more a quirk of the property's layout rather than a fault of the restaurant itself.

A notable mention must go to the Frozen Coke, which was surprisingly good. Often these drinks are overly icy with little flavour, but here it was perfectly balanced, enhancing the overall experience.

Visited this branch on 20 Dec 2020, 11:42am. It wasn't even busy. The place was filthy so we asked for the manager. The staff at the front rolled their eyes and said she's in the office and one of them asked if she can be called at the from to help. Spoke with the manager and said they're a manager out and just went back into the office. Meanwhile, have been waiting for a cheeseburger for the last 15 minutes, only to find out they've 'lost' my order. Not only that, they've also lost the order of the person before me. It's a bit of a shame to see this branch go under. They have enough staff (2 of them were idly on their iPads at the front) and only 'spritzed' the table when we raised the issue. It is difficult to judge this McDonald's as they jump between the worst service I've ever received and the friendliest service I've ever received. However this time I'll discuss the bad times. The drive thru needs to speed up a bit, I've frequently sat in the drive thru waiting for a large coke and a cheeseburger for up to 10 mins. There have been times when I stood in the shop waiting for service while the staff joked around and ignored me then when I did finely did order it seemed like I was an inconvenience to them, then the person preparing the burgers walked out of the kitchen for 10 minutes while I stood there waiting for my food.
