If you’re in the mood to be thoroughly disappointed and robbed blind, this cafe is the place for you. $25.53 for a dry, cold sausage roll and a pie so hollow it could double as a balloon — and yes, that price includes a mystery “weekend surcharge” they don’t bother to disclose anywhere. Good luck finding any prices at all; nothing is marked, because apparently they prefer the sticker shock to hit once you’re at the register.

The sausage roll was an embarrassment: dry, flavorless, and barely lukewarm after a 15-minute wait (microwaved, no less) despite only one other table being occupied. The pie? A masterclass in deception — two-thirds greasy puff pastry, one sad teaspoon of filling, and zero care.

The staff matched the food perfectly: low-energy, disinterested, and seemingly inconvenienced by the presence of customers. If you like paying premium prices for fast food-level quality, cold service, and a side of regret, this place will absolutely deliver. How embarrassing....

Just letting you know that today we came and purchased a chicken and mushroom pie a vegetarian quiche and 2 mocha coffees at a cost of just over $41.00.You will remember the confronting conversation with my partner. I sat back and took note of the conversation. The piehad virtually no filling and the quiche was cold and dry.We cut the pie open to discover little filling. We took the pie back and was accused of having eaten the filling. We were offered another or something else. We decided on a scones cream and jam. The serving was of less value than the pie.When. we questioned that your attitude was unacceptable. We asked for the price difference to be refunded and your attitude was unacceptable. I will pass on my criticism to the public...

Going in to buy an Iced Chocolate. The board says &8.00 Charged $8.50. When questioned staff say they have put up their prices but not updated the board. Didn’t seem to care. News flash that is ILLEGAL. You must sell at the advertised price not a higher price.

To suggest as you have below that I was aggressive toward your staff is an outright LIE. I was never aggressive I politely pointed out that to sell above the advertised price is illegal. If the young lass cannot handle that then she is in the wrong occupation.

Secondly to say cream and ice cream is extra is ridiculous. Who the hell sells an ice chocolate without these. Again the board makes no mention of this. Again illegal. But do go on. I’m sure you have...

Disappointed to have brought a slice of their chocolate marble cheesecake today as a treat for my husband only to realise when I got home it was moldy. Makes me quite concerned about the other items I consumed today when I came in for a chai tea and something to eat - whilst I did some work on my laptop. Really disappointing, food should be better checked in the display window especially those containing dairy and meat. Otherwise staff and service were lovely but not happy with lack of food hygiene especially when charging $9 a slice of cheesecake

We visited today for afternoon treat with the kids and we had a great experience. From the welcoming staff, to well priced menu selection, and the yummy food, Choc A Latte was 10/10! The kids loved their chocolate gelato cups, and our coffees and scones were just perfect to warm us up after visiting the amazing lookouts in the chilly Blackheath area. With the warm and cosy atmosphere, we had to drag ourselves back outside. We will definitely be making our way up from Sydney again.
