Sumptuous, complex, authentic.

The food and service here are impeccable. We did need to make a booking on Saturday night, and the place was packed. After receiving our food I can see why.

Despite the sold out venue, we received our entrees and mains in good time, and they were phenomenal.

The Spring Rolls (vegetarian) were filled with flavour, finely shredded and didn't get that cheap feeling when you pull the rest of the filling out with a single bite. It also was paired with a wonderful sweet chilli sauce.

The Chicken Satay skewers were so tender and juicy, with the satay sauce an all-star. Rich, creamy, nutty, not oily, smooth. A generous portion too.

The mains: Massaman Beef Curry & Chicken Yellow Curry.

The Massaman is without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. The meat literally falls apart in your mouth, just as it should. Tender, soft, juicy and the sauce; rich, aromatic, smooth. The potato was cooked perfectly too, not too soft and just cooked right, soft in the mouth, absorbing so much good flavour.

The Yellow Curry was in the same league, and a hard to do understated curry due to being mild by intention. The flavours never fought each other, and it remained a smooth, full curry without losing its flavour.

This would have to be the best Thai restaurant in the Blue mountains. If it loses any points at all it's that the venue itself doesn't feel like an authentic Thai restaurant with the tapestries and so on. However once seated and enjoying the food, all that goes out the window.

I'd definitely recommend to anyone in/out...

We came here last minute and my god all four of us thought everything was delicious! We didn't waste any of it and for 4 people we spent about $30 each. Every dish was some of the best version of it that we've ever had. I would consider doing the 2hr drive up there just for the amazing food. Service and atmosphere was also top notch. It is literally a house turned into a restaurant which I think suited the mountains small town vibe. Lamb shank massaman curry. drool not usually my favourite curry but this was so thick and creamy. Lamb just fell off the bone tender. Didn't need a knife. Chicken larb. Perfect amount of chilli heat and sour tang. Balanced out the other food. Satay pork noodles. The pork was so soft and there was a lot of veggies too. A lot of places don't have this many fresh veggies in it. The sauce itself was so peanuty and creamy. Duck tamarind. Crispy duck breastfeeding on a bed of steamed veggies. Good portion of veg. Could be a bit more tamarind flavoured. I forgot to get pictures of dessert. Banana sticky rice and taro sticky rice both served warm and with a scoop of creamy, not icy, vanilla ice cream. The sticky rice is the kind wrapped it banana leaf first not typically found in thai restaurants I find but an Asian grocer. We ordered 2 then had to get 1 more. Oh and this was also with 4 servings of rice. Worth it. Tldr; come here for delicious Thai in...

Edit: Having ordered several times now I feel as though I need to change my review. The quality (and quantity) of the dishes has varied drastically with each order, none being as good as my first order. The flavours vary wildly, in my most recent order one of my dishes (vegetarian) tasted strongly of seafood (I would guess it was cooked directly after a seafood dish) to the point where it overpowered the flavour of the roasted chilli sauce which I so loved on my first order. The only fairly consistant thing between all my orders has been the variety of fresh vegetables in the dishes. Sadly, I'm unsure if I would still recommend them.

Initial review: I ordered 2 vegetarian dishes, both had a great variety of fresh veggies which had a lovely char grilled flavour to them. The roasted chilli sauce was delicious and I appreciated how finely the carrots were sliced because I often find them an overwhelming flavour. I would consider the portion sizes to be generous. The delivery driver was polite and pleasant and it was apparent the food had been delivered as soon as it was cooked. I love how each dish you order via delivery gives you an option to add comments and the menu itself is so customisable so you can get what you want. Although this was my first experience with them I am happy to...

Thai Silk is great restaurant with a charming atmosphere. The dishes are delicious and very generous size. I am not sure why it is considered a "$" sign given the price for a Yellow Lamb Curry set me back to $27/person. I would not exactly consider this place as cheap as reviews have stated. I would even consider it on the expensive side. Fortunately the taste of the food is good and makes up for the price. My interest in visiting this place was sparked by "$" with positive reviews. I think Google price range was a bit misleading by a large margin (not sure if is Google's fault or the business owner chose to not update as a marketing strategy). I more offended at how it was misleading, not how the food was priced. I find it pricing to be fair but misleading is not. I cannot give it higher than 3 stars... I believe revising the price to "$$" seems more fair. I find it also awkward that prices are higher for dine in than take away. This was usual for me to have seperated menu. The places has great food and a large dine-in menu. That is undeniable~
