This place has changed hands since our first visit and the food and service are greatly improved. The kitchen is very responsive to particular food requests, and everything is fresh and tasty. We have eaten here a few times lately and it could easily become our goto lunch spot. Just had lunch here, verrrry sloooow service, over 50 minutes for the first meal to arrive at the table and then about 15 minutes for the last meal to arrive. Leaving us with the, "do I wait before I start?". I ordered the discussion bacon and mushroom pasta. In my mind a special has 3 criteria and should meet at least 2 if not all 3, they are cheaper, good meal, larger. This did not meet any. Fairly small serve, of nothing special with badly cooked pasta.

We didn’t stay here but had dinner. Really liked that it was very dog friendly. The bar staff were very friendly however the kitchen service was slow and kitchen staff seemed a little stressed. Unfortunately this played out in the food which was only ok - the pasta wasn’t balanced very well with over powering percorino. The goats cheese pizza strangely had the same salad that was served with the chicken schnitzel dumped in the middle. But anyway, it was nice to be able to play pool which was complimentary and the fireplaces were perfect for the chilly winter night.

Frozen food, which was clearly reheated, and one of the worst veggie burgers I’ve ever had. I could only eat one bite. The Fish and chips were ok, but again frozen and overpriced at $28. The chips were passable. Terrible- go hungry is my advice.

Went to this place in April with no issues. Went back there again whilst in the area. 4 adults and 4 kids, ordered 1 meal for each of us. Only 1 adult meal and 3 kids meals were served. After waiting god only knows how long the staff eventually informed us that they somehow forgot everyone else’s meals and then essentially blamed it on us because they tried to bring us 2 kids fish and chips (the missed kids order was 1 fish and chips and so surely they should understand the confusion there?!) which regardless doesn’t excuse the 3 adult meals missed. The staff were unapologetic and started getting huffy at us. They then advised us that the kitchen was closed and we would get a refund and that was it. No apology. Nothing....
