We arrived and was greeted by a lovely young lady - I asked a question about the menu, “was there any savory crepes?”
She was about to reply when another young girl rudely interrupted her and told me, as if I was a child “it’s on the menu”, I asked “oh sorry I cannot see it” she replied with a harsh tone - “what do you think a galette is?” I replied “I did not know”.
She then looked at her associate and laughed.
The other young waitress like me looked embarrassed.
We then left, but I turned around and came back and said to the girl I don’t understand why you feel the need to treat me as if I’m five I didn’t know what it was and I didn’t need to be spoken to in a tone of anger and frustration.
She just shrugged.
Rather than us staying and eating and perhaps booking a room we left and are now in Ulladulla spending our hundreds of dollars here.
I thought it might’ve been me but then I’ve been reading past reviews about her rudeness and the rudeness of stuff.
Perhaps if you’re a tourism town this young lady needs to take a customer service course.
So very disappointed in her attitude. Not everyone knows what...
Read moreThis French inspired eatery is the bomb! What a find for us. It was a beautiful afternoon, we sat on a sunny table outside after being greeted by a smiley French waitress. All the staff appeared to be French. Order and pay at a little kiosk, the menu is pretty much all galettes and crepes. Not the sort of food I would normally think of in a little town like Braidwood NSW, but it was truly delicious with many variations of this savoury beauty. I had galette Raclette, my friends had a beef bourguignon galette and a Greek lamb galette. We then went for the special crepe for dessert which we shared , which featured a raspberry sauce , chocolate and a myriad of of other things, which came with a complimentary dessert wine. It was delicious. A couple of bottles of French rosé later we were well and truly sated. Friendly attentive staff, this was a highlight of our short stay...
Read moreThis place has gone seriously downhill. We turned up this morning to find this creperie was not serving crepes at all. Toasties and bagels. We shared a cheese and tomato toastie ( which inexplicably had no tomato in it) and a salmon bagel, which was really bland and quite dry. I’m not sure why but both came with potato chips as garnish, and lettuce drowned in dressing, which is weird for breakfast. The coffee was ok, but we ordered a chocolate croissant to go with it, which was so dry we couldn’t eat it. Definitely nowhere near fresh. The clincher was that the service was not just unfriendly but outright rude. The young lady behind the counter seems to really resent her job. For a $50 breakfast, I’m sorely disappointed. (Even if one of their staff was off sick, for example, surely they have more than one person on staff who could...
