The universe brought us here. Andonis Cafe & Bar, 4/281 Station Rd, Yeerongpilly QLD 4105.
First time visit and it won’t be our last.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by lovely Sharnie who knows a thing or two about people. She helped to seat us and directed us on how everything works. She left us for a minute returning to the table with water before breaking into conversation with us over the menu, including ways to order without the pressure of using QR coding which we actually like to avoid.
After deciding on what to order with the help of Sharnie. We sat and waited with enjoyment and excitement to be here.
Moments later … our drink orders arrived and a short while after our food arrived.
The best of dishes are often not solely one-dimensional in flavour. Rather, they boast a robust, multifarious blend of different ingredients that all come to play and truely elevates each dish tastefully and gives it life.
The food here isn’t static and motionless; there is plenty of movement and the Egg Benedict texture so timely and exquisitely runny as you slice your knife through its center, for instance.
Credits to the chefs who work hard to produce art on plates each and every day with consistency so it’s seems. Refer to photos. All food options look amazing and certainly taste delicious.
Each meal was exquisite and more than throwing a slew of ingredients together.
The french toast pillow soft, light and fluffy in texture, deliciously sautéed in butter and maple syrup, paired with a note of cinnamon citrusy flavours complimented with strawberry, blue berry, vanilla ice cream and Nutella.
It’s easy to see why Andonis is so popular among the people and why you need to visit.
Highly recommend. Thank you for a delightful experience in service and food delivery.

Read moreNew Year's Day seems the most appropriate stress test of a brunch venue - loads of patrons (some hungover) and limited breakfast cafes open. We were able to book online (strongly recommended) and staff sorted us immediately on arrival. Our table host explained the day's context (holiday surcharge, long wait times for food etc), the menu and offered some ordering suggestions.
Everything on the menu (and surrounding tables) looked inviting and our selections of the Maple French Toast and Fried Chicken and Egg on Bagel (can't remember the name) were fantastic, notably massive portion sizes and loads of bacon and fries. Coffee and juice options were brilliant. The babycino came in a large cup with two different-coloured marshmallows (of utmost importance with marshmallows). Takeaway cold brew rivals that of Black Star Coffee, so keep it in mind to visit the fridge inside.
Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. We were served by at least 4 different team members over the course of about an hour and all were on point (again, consider the New Year's context).
Location is solid, a decent drawcard for the inner-south. Time it right and you can hit Slipstream brewery around the corner. The venue is well laid out with awnings throughout and reasonable circulation. Only observation to be made is that there's only one easily-accessible toilet.
On pricing, it's slightly higher than most other cafes in Brisbane (before holiday surcharge). That said, portion sizes are massive and I'd happily pay the list price for what we got on the day, especially considering the quality of the food, experience and staffing. We've added this to the Brisbane Eats Map List, would strongly recommend you...
Read moreIv attended andonis cafe on and off for a few years now and while the venue is lovely and lively there has always been invasive issue with flies in and around the venue, if you go here chances are wether your inside or out flies will bombard you and your meal, sadden to see they havent taken care of this issue in the many years iv attended.
Dog friendly cafe which is lovely to see, definitely will bring my little guy around next visit.
Now im a BIG EATER and i will dislike when a meal is claimed to be big and has a big price tag but the portion doesnt match, i got the big breakfast which is a $32 meal, with a humours description with a warning of its being XL, though appealing to the eye the size isnt a let down, the meal came with a single slice of bacon, i dont know about you but i expect more than a single slice of bacon with my $30+ XL big breakfast that even had a warning of its large size even in the description.
The food is extremely pretty but little things fall short, friend got a loaded croissant and though very pretty and good size for the price the “croissant” isn’t actually a proper flakey croissant its a simple bread shaped croissant, disappointing to the avid croissant lovers that we are. (He would like to add his poach eggs were over cooked)
Drinks are lovely and the food is tasty and beautiful.
Staff do definitely approach you TO much, in a single sitting we were approached 4 times to ask how everything is or was, once is fine but this was over kill and makes it hard to relax and enjoy your meal, attentive staff is great invasive staff is uncomfortable.
Will come back in future but definitely not...
