Unfortunately can’t agree with the hype for this place. Got the crispy pork banh mi: Pros: - bread is fairly nice, crispy but soft - good mix of filling - veges & meat Cons: - Meat was dry in my Banh Mi - Butter & Pate flavours weren’t strong, meaning that along with the meat it was quite a dry tasting Banh Mi - Ordered with chilli but minimal chilli and virtually no kick overall - 20 minute wait Overall, given the price ($13) I think there are far better (and more filling) Banh Mis around Brisbane. Aside from the Banh Mi though - nice shop with a 5% cash discount. I won’t be dissuaded by one try, I’ll be back to try the Banh Mi (and other dishes) again! :)

Banh mi craving? This place will hit it out of the park. Everything you what in a bahn mi. Bread is crusty on the outside, soft in the middle. Pate and the right amount of mayo. The veg is fresh and the pickle on the carrots is bang on. Now for the crispy pork- moist rich slices, perfectly seasoned crackling for that slightly salty crunch. This is right up there and could very well be the best banh mi in Brisbane. It’s worth trying to find out! It’s also worth mentioning that the opening hours are nice and early which is great! And the service was unnecessarily fantastic. I’ve been 3 times now and each time the staff were incredibly lovely.

Brisbane's best banh mi! This crispy roast pork banh mi from the team at @banh.mi9 is a strong contender for Brisbane's best banh mi!!! The delicious light crispy roll, is filled with a generous portion of freshly roasted pork, crunchy crackling, pickled carrot, salad, pate, home made mayonnaise and chilli to taste. (Note that the default option includes a hoisin sauce which we asked them to leave out as we prefer the traditional banh mi with just pate and mayo). The service is warm and friendly, and the 5% discount for cash is a plus!!

Hidden Gem Alert!

I was enjoying my day out at the tennis when the hunger struck. Naturally, I made my way out of Pat Rafter to explore the options that were presented to me in the way of food trucks. $25 for a kebab or some Nachos? No thanks. I set off on a mini adventure to find some reasonably priced food. That is when I stumbled upon Banh Mi 9. I love a good Banh Mi but had low expectations when I entered this joint. Their Banh Mi is excellent to say the least. Fresh, crispy baguette that is loaded generously with each topping especially the meat. After my experience, I checked on Google to see they are 4.9 stars and this does not surprise me at all. The service was fast and friendly as well. You can't get any better than that....

Stopped in for the first time here yesterday. Parking can be a bit iffy here. I had to park in the basement car park. There were none of the outside ones that are close available. So depending on how busy this place is it's not that easy just to duck in and grab a roll. Friendly service. I chose the cripsy pork version of the classic Vietnamese roll. Preparing the roll took longer than average, this may need some work. Also at $12 it's a bit more than I'm used to paying down at Darra but I can say the extra cost is worth it. The flavor and quality of the product was very good. They just need to get cracking a bit more ;) I'll be back to get...
