I personally believe this place, should be rated 12 out of 10, it is the most exciting sporting club i have ever seen, food and service Tops. Clubhouse comfortable and right on the edge of the field. Im only giving this place 1 star, solely because of an incident that happened to my son who took me there to watch his son play league there. On arrival my son went to the bar and ordered 2 beers and some food, spending about $100. We ate our food drunk the beer, and my son went to the toilet and as he came out a very young security person told him there was a dress cold and that he must leave the Club rooms. We had caused no trouble at all, and none of the bar staff or waiters had told my son he was not allowed in the club wearing his Dolphin singlet. This boy security guard over stepped the line, and should have been more about being polite to my Son and looking to resolve the situation. My son had a tee shirt in his vehicle and told me he would have put the tee on if asked, however a small argument took place where my Son told this smart arsed security boy, that the door we entered from displayed no warning of a dress code, to which he replied yes that door and foyer had no code advertised. My son said at 2.30pm we were going outside to watch the game, and my son walked back to the table, a couple of mins later the security boy came to the table and told my son he had to leave, and then noted this boy now had all the security there to back him up, my son was really cross by now that his family outing had been totally ruined, and left. I went to talk to that guard, and asked him why he did not offer to give my son a tee to wear and he said yes we can do that, and I said great all solved stopped my son at the door and told him I had a tee for him to wear, but he was so cross he walked out vowing to never visit that Club ever again. I was visiting my son from NZ and only been in Brisbane for 3days and this Boy ruined what would have been my Son shouting his Father to a league experience and Family time over a good meal and pleasant surroundings. I also believe, the Security had no right what so ever, to impose a dress code without clearly advertising it at the entrance. Your club is beautiful, your security, lacks empathy, and a friendly helpful manner, to resolve a small issue before it escalated. Also lastly there were other people wearing singlets inside and not...

Read morePulled up at peak hour Friday night we were lucky to be seated almost immediately by a worker named Zac. Although the time of day and the busyness of the Rana (what the locals call it) we got given a table for six straight away. My buddy Scott (Scott Mogs) got himself the ribs off the chef’s special menu he loved them and said “where tender meets tantalising, a savoury symphony for the senses.” Whilst me and my buddy Mitch endulged in the classic chicken parmi. We were both impressed by the perfectly sizzled thick cuts of bacon on top. My buddy Joel had the bangers and mash which he said was great and reminded him of his home land. Joseph had the steak but he couldn’t find our table the blind untcay. Will the had a chicken snitzel which he loved as he could dip it in tomato sauce. The bar was hard to beat, Mitch was having a yarn with the larrikin like bar staff for a hot minute he said “they were full of wisdom and experience.” In conclusion, our outing to the Arana leagues club exceed our expectations. The live music gave us a warm and welcome atmosphere. We appreciate the formal garments that all staff wear and kindness of the employees. The only issue perfectly summarised by Joel was “how the hell does the bangers and mash cost more than a chef’s...
