Arana Court Chinese Restaurant - Dine in & Takeaway — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Unfortunately since the new owner have taken over the service and wait time for food has gone down drastically. Been there twice since new owners first time we just thought they were finding their feet with a group of 3 of us , didn't get table water we had to ask and go to the bar to order our drinks when it's supposed to be table service. We finally order our food and 10 mins after a young Asian family walks in gets seated and served straight away they got drinks straight away and ordered and their food came out within 20 mins unlike ours we waited an hour for food to be served. We aren't a family that orders small either we spent $250 on dinner that night and noticed some of our regular meals were smaller $27 for caramelised squid that we could all share normally it now wouldn't even be classed as a full main meal for 1. Last night we booked -had a group of 10 while this time they had a full house we understood it was busy but We waited for 30 minutes before we realised no one was bringing water to the table we went and asked , and then it took another 10 minutes on top of that for the one young lady working to come take our drink and food order. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our main meals to get served . In this time yet again another Asian family of 3 walks In gets drinks straight away and there food was served in 10 minutes instead this time the owner spent 40 minutes at their table talking while the poor young girl at the bar was under the pump trying to take everyone's orders and serve drinks all while the owner stood there chatting away in the same time had two diners come up to the young girl and ask how long their food would be. The owner clearly does not care for service or helping her staff even if you're a huge table spending over $500 don't waste your money. The experience last night was absolutely terrible and it's such a shame as we were going once a month for dinner before the new owners. We got one apology by the young lady when we asked how long our food would be but nothing what so ever...

Absolutely awful. The food was the worse Chinese we have ever tasted. It was worse than a cheap Chinese food court food! It was not fit for human consumption. In fact gave it to the dog and she didn't even eat it 😭We ordered the Mongolian lamb- a few slices of lamb on top of a whole lot of awful vegetables (mainly carrot, onion and celery) BBQ duck- extremely dry and not edible Steamed vegetables- horrible- no Chinese vegetables, just carrot, celery and undercooked cauliflower. Everything was really bland and tasteless. We called the owner straight away about our terrible food and she did not offer to give us our money back. Further I went into the store and she tried to tell me that when she asked the chef about the duck that he said it was juicy (yeah right 🙄) She then told me she had tried to help us and that you "can't satisfy everyone"...she didn't seem to care that she had ripped us off $63. She was then trying to reason with me saying that the only way of getting my money back was if they had done something wrong...I would say serving food that is entirely inedible VERY WRONG! Then I went back to tell them we will be taking further action and the husband comes out and starts yelling at me to get out of the shop!!! I have never experienced such rudeness and arrogance in a food business in all my life. As if I really wanted to go back and get my money back...it was out of my way too but the food was so bad that I wasn't willing to just let it go!!! I wish I had read the other reviews on here to realise that other people have had the same problem with the food. Pretty sure any good reviews would be friends and family only. I would not even give it one star. Sorry guys your food sucks and so does your attitude. DO...

I’m going to start this off and say do not go here if you value your stomach.

I got a fried rice, and some sweet and sour pork, the fried rice was bland, the pork was dry and the sweet and sour sauce was a nuclear shade of red.

This is the closest thing you will find to real, authentic, BRITISH, Chinese food.I have been locked to the toilet for the past hour because of poor food standards and even poorer quality, there’s 3 Chinese places in this food court and if there’s one that won’t be getting my money ever again it is this one.

Work on making actual genuinely tasty food that is fresh, don’t serve 2 week old heated up “fried rice” and be surprised when people get sick, it’s not good enough and coming from a local restaurant I thought it would be nice.

The only redeeming quality is the service but I wouldn’t bank on that lasting too long. Noodle box honestly serves...
